I did not recieve any e-mail about the update and I have been avidly checking my junk mail folder since the purchase. The lack of e-mail may be because I did not order the update from cakewalk directly. I did, however, order it from a legitimate retailer from whom I have purchased all my versions of Sonar. I had no problem registering Sonar 5.
