Ableton live's automation limit

i have been using the bcr2000 with zebra for a while and it works well, including the visual LED feedback (cool to tweak the gui with a mouse and see the bcr lights spin around).

as far as mapping, i tend to go the XY route on the Z2 side. you can do quite a lot with live's macromap stuff now too - great control over the knob depth, but you still the problem of not being able to "see" everything from live. good thing is the XYs are the first things in the stack.

i'm getting really happy results by spending some time ganging together my tweaknobs for multitasking via XY. i have the bcr controlling live's transport, all scene/clip select, launch and record, 4 zebras and 2 filterscapes and stylus' mixer. i've gotten to where most knobs are going to the same XYs and doing all my mappings on the zebra-side, with range control to boot.
