It used to only come with Line 6 stuff like the Guitar Port. Now IK is the distributor of the version that can be used with anything. It's REALLY REALLY fun and easy to use. Download the demo! It's available now.BERFAB wrote:Dig it: http://www.ikmultimedia.com/MainPhp.htm ... php&Id=726telebunke wrote:Riffworks? You're getting me confused with all this new stuff.Squids wrote: Good stuff! I don't know Squids, those amps and stomps look pretty beat up, there has to be at least a 40% discount in there.
Is it a boxed product? or download?
When will it be available?

Also some of those amps are already available in AT2, like the Bassman.
Is it a different version or is it just the same lady in a ripped dress.
Can you confirm this with IK? (either way)

so wait,
is there actually something new in this? or did they just hire a new graphics designer?
Are people actually going to be suckered in this easily?

Man, I was first hoping it's a cool monophonic riff collection that can be harmonically adjusted using the phenomenal STRETCH algorith in ST2.
Actually ST'RETCH has some potential to change monophonic loop lines to follow a different harmony...

Yeah, there's some crossover to be sure...The Fuzz face and Opto were part of AT2 as well as a couple of the amps and at least 1 cab (I'm working from memory here).Kingston wrote:so wait,

But for those that don't own AT2, there's no crossover and it works like a specialized version.
I suppose it's also possible that some of the models that were in AT2 have been re-tuned, although that could just wishful speculation on my part.
For me, it's an add-on with some new presets that couldn't be created in AT2. The cross-grade is the same price as the digitech pedal.
So yeah, I guess I'm gonna get suckered in
Still, I'd be really psyched to hear some clips....how's about it Dave?
My only complaint with AT2 is no Acoustic models...although I have used it with acoustic guitar, it's not quite the same, is it?

Actually, there's a pretty good acoustic patch in AT1 that I use quite a bit, but it would be nice to have a bit of that in AT2.

Kingston, homey, dude, it's WAY more than the graphics. Has it ever been this way with IK? Really? Believe me there are times where I think it would be so much easier to JUST slap a nice interface and say "it's kind of like this" but that just isn't how IK works. Even if I suggested it from my position the developers wouldn't listen to me. Too much pride in what they do and I respect that completely and agree that although it is TEMPTING to just do a nice GUI and in reality "wing it", it's better to take the time to do an approximation of the REAL THING! That is of course what I am so excited about and come on you should know that. You think I'd honestly be excited about the same stuff with a new GUI? I wouldn't even be interested in it if that was true.Kingston wrote:so wait,

So, no, these are great models of vintage gear. Yes, some of it is in AT2 like the Fuzzface and a few others. Maybe they are tweaked and enhanced a little bit but the big value to me are the effects and amps that haven't been available before... the models of Roger Mayer pedals, Octavia etc. plus the Fuzzrite, Univibe, Vox Wah, Fuzz Tone, Marhshall JMT, Brown Fender and more. GOOD STUFF! Like I said, you like Hendrix sound or not it's the GEAR!!!!

Yeah. Just as long as they didn't emulate broken circuitry and popped tubes, I'm all for it.BERFAB wrote:That IS pretty cool. I especially like how all the gear is torn and beat up like it's been in Jimi's basement for 40 years.
