ok this is what I should have know before install. Because now I have also songs that use 1.2 so I am afraid the host will still assign the old sylenth in newer compositionsLennard wrote: You can still manually change the parameter links in your host though. Or if that is a problem or too much work, you can still run the previous version of Sylenth1 next to the new version. To do so, simply rename the new version to Sylenth12.dll and its accompanying directory to \Sylenth12\. Then install the previous version again (if you don't have the installer anymore, just let me know).

Yes I think so too, I just tested multiple versions in Live, but Live seems to have some problems with multiple plugins having the same ID.waveriderarts wrote:----> the chart will be my preferred fix, when available everything will be easy to repair, thanks a lot
It should work, but you can not use both versions in one song at the same time. You also can not load both versions in the same Live session (you'd have to restart Live).
I'll have a conversion chart ready by tomorrow.

Ok, here's the conversion table (in Excel and pdf format):
Sylenth1 v1.11 to v1.2x automation parameter conversion table
The first column shows the parameters from v1.1, the second column shows the paramters from v1.2 and the third column shows to which parameter you should change the automation to get the old one back.
For example, if you automated "Cutoff" (no. 9) in v1.11, this has changed to "Arp Gate". The correct automation parameter in this case is "FilterCtl Cutoff" (no. 55).

Well in the song I tried to fix it did not work, as I am using live and in v1.2 I no longer have access to this parameter because its number is over 128:Lennard wrote: For example, if you automated "Cutoff" (no. 9) in v1.11, this has changed to "Arp Gate". 198 zModEnv 1 Dest1
so I can't make it work. I already noticed that in V1.2 I could not control any of the envelopes modulations by MIDI:
198 zModEnv 1 Dest1
199 zModEnv 1 Dest2
200 zModEnv 2 Dest1
201 zModEnv 2 Dest2
...and midi learn does not work for these either.
I guess I will have to wait for midi learn to work on these env mod params or change host. Or I will go back to 1.1 to render that piece.
Anyway mod parameters are important to control with midi for me. I map them to knobs. Some worked with v1.1, but I can't do some of those in v1.2 anymore. I know it is a limitation of Live but all the performance parameters should be in the first 128. I see portamento time is also now 142. Outch.
Anyway thanks for the chart and wish you good work on future updates.

so cool!!!Lennard wrote:Hi WaveRider,
I've almost got full MIDI learn functionality for all controls ready. This will be available in v1.21, which will be released in about 1 week.
...I want to compliment you again on the sound.... Sylenth1 is my no.1 synth now...
