First of all thanks for this great tool !

If I understand correctly, it only exports the first 12 waves. If you want to morph like in your example, shouldn't you load a wave in 1 and 12 (instead of 16) ?

Thanks,

That'd be a good idea,yes. :D
Hopefully Urs will fix this in a near future. He mentioned it in another thread.

@jupiter8: excellent stuff!

A couple of weeks ago I checked an old z3ta+ soundbank from a crazy guy which had sampled waveforms from all those dinosaur synths (that we all want to get rid of ;-) ) and I wasn't able to load them into Z2 - now I can do !!! :)

Question: If one creates a preset which uses such an "additional" waveform - does this preset includes then this waveform or do one have to exchange both the preset and the waveform (for sharing presets)?

thanks in advance!

You can just give everyone a .h2p preset and the osc settings + waves will be saved within it. If someone wants to strip out just the OSC waves, they can do so from the OSC menu.

bootsie where can i find a link to that soundbank?

i tried the plug and thank you....but i loaded 2 totally different samples in and got the same sounding osc. for both....am i doing something wrong?

Sounds weird.That should'nt happen of course.

Could you explain in more detail exactly what it is you do.
Like loaded wav x into slot 3 exported as SawToPulse.h2p for example.

If you load two or more waves at the same time in different slots you have to modulate the wave parameter in Zebra2 to hear the other waveforms.

@bmrzycki: thanks for clearing this!

@musicall: just check the z3ta bank from fr4ncesco right here at kvr

some weird things going on here too - I will see if I can prepare some samples over the weekend ...

I had no problems, loaded waves in slot 1 and 12 and it morphs nicely ! :tu:

musicall, you did select your new waves in the OSC module (by clicking on default and selecting your new file from the list) afterwards ?

Or click on the little wave icons at the bottom of the OSC page.

Funny,i just tried it and had some weird results as well. The 1.10 position and up is correct but at 1.0 it still plays the wave that was loaded before it. However it goes away after fiddeling around with the controls for a while. I have'nt really found a pattern to it yet.

The way the osc. shows the correct waveform but plays another one leads me to think this is a bug in Z2 (yeah right,blame it on Urs. That's a classy fella for you.) or that i have misunderstood something when implementing the export. I find it hard to believe i've messed this one up since the correct wave is shown but not played but anything is possible.
I will of course fix this if i find that i've messed something up once and if i figure it out.

Anyways it's nice to see there's still some commotion about this program. Warms my heart really. Any other thoughts ,feature requests,bug reports etc?

Could be that the script does change the settings correctly, but that it doesn't notify the actual dsp part about having made a change... and so it still plays back a chached waveform... which would go away by shortly mangling any parameter... or just playing a different note...

If that's the case, I'll add a wave-refill flag into the osc's script interface ;)

It definitley does something weird. If you're at,say wave position 4.0 and load a new wave,it does'nt get updated at position 4.0. All other positions plays the new wave except for 4.0. It does go away after a while but i still have'nt found a pattern to it. Playing different notes does'nt help, clicking on the squares at the bottom does'nt help and changing the wave parameter on the oscillator does'nt help. At least not immediatly. After a while it behaves correct.

Yeah, just looked it up. Here's a test to see if I'm right:

Set PitchBend Range to +12
Play note with new waveset
If the old waveform is played, move the PitchWheel
If it suddenly changes to the new waveform... bingo...

That did not work for me. It's really weird 'cause if i move the "wave" button once up and down it does'nt change to the correct one. But then suddenly after a while it does. I still have'nt found a pattern to this.
