ok, this one seems to work. I can't try it now... I'll do ASAP.
@ pboy: I'm automating the pluggin by writing automation, but I think Automation Quick Access should work. The drawback i see to it right now (and I'm not an expert in that part of the program due to the fact I just recently got some midi faders to play with it...) is that you have to select the track you want to affect...I mean: it has to be selected on the arrange... otherwise it won't work here ATM... As I said: I'm still learning AQA... I have an idea to cable the controller directly to the audio object in the environment, ...should work IMO, but still didn't test it.

This version makes me happy!!!
no weird problems ATM...no buffer problems after stop and play again.
Lovely
Thanks a lot
(also I'm learning about the delay...)

Is that still true with logic 8 and 9?pboy wrote: I have the same problem, which is due to the fact that you cant send MIDI to a plug-in in Logic.
My keyboard is programmed to send CC 92 on/off with a certain button, Logic is reporting that it gets CC 92 with 127 velocity on channel 1, but Augustus is not responding. Is this the reason?

I believe it's still true in Logic 8 - haven't tried 9 yet.
If you want to send MIDI to an effect in Logic, load it in an instrument slot, and use the side-chain input to get audio into the plug-in.

Hi Vic, Hi os,
it is not true, you can send midi controller to a plugin of an audio track.
i set up a 5 channel live looping machine in logic 7 pro and it was working fine.
but now i upgraded to logic 9 and for some reason i dont understand, augustus is not able to receive the same controllers.
think i have to change them to fader values, fader 37 is working for tap rec instead of controll 93 (CC message numbers in the manual list never responded).

in logic 7 it was very simple, just insert the looper in an audio input object or audio track, select it in the arrange window (audio track must be activated for recording) and send midi controll messages from number 80-127 (try which number activates the function you need) on midi channel 1.
in logic 9 the looper receives only internal fader messages (but all 81 functions!), for every function you want to control, you have to create a transformer in the environment that converts the midi controler message into a fader message.
create an environment midi instrument for your hardware controler (has to be selected in the arrange window), connect it with cables to all transformers and connect the transformers with cables to the audio objects with the looper plugins.
i'm not a logic expert, so may be there's an easier way with the controler assignment learn function or audio track automation.
cheers, beo
