Thanks, Garth. Guess I did the right thing getting GS3 just to play those Larry Seyer Acoustic Drums. :hihi:

Seriously, I really like that lib and it would fall kind of flat if you took the convolution out of it.

Completely OT, you've got a pretty cool name (Hjelte meaning "hero" in my native tongue). Swedish ancestry?

Yeah, the Seyer Drums are awesome and the convolutions are 50% of it.

Yep, Hero it is and I actually (was) the last "Hjelte" in the United States that pronounced it right "yell-ta" (actually we say Yell-Tee). Most families anglicized it "jell-tee"

Then I had a little boy and it's him from here on out. He is the "prototype" and he is being groomed for world domination. =) Actually, he'll take a Latin angle on it as my wife is from the Domincan Republic. So when he starts pitching in the Major Leagues (don't all Domincans play baseball?), he'll be a "hero" for sure.

Thanks for your interest, good luck with the Seyer Drums.

It's weird to think that almost half the Swedish population left the country in the 1800's and early 1900's (Sweden was one of the poorest countries in Europe and times were really hard). I read somewhere that there are more people of Swedish descent in the US than there are people in Sweden (we're all of 9 million).

I see you're in Minnesota where most of the Swedish emigrants ended up (guess they couldn't do without those cold winters :hihi: ). Best of luck to you and the new hero (who knows, one day he might have occasion to play at the Hjelte Sports Center in Encino, CA 8) ).

OK, back to the regular programming.

(Sorry to take this thread in funny directions)

Funny you should mention the Hjelte Sports Center.

My uncle was George Hjelte, who was the Director of Parks and Recreation for the County of Los Angeles in the 1950's; he pioneered innovative usages of urban greenspace which the whole Encino Resovoir is based around. Those ideas have influenced many or most urban greenspace planning in the United States. The park was named after him.

Like I said, there's not too many of us!
