The first beat in Ableton

To add fuel to the fire this also happens to me with Massive in Logic, although not in Live.

Even more annoyingly, I discovered that this can also happen with ES2 in Logic! You'd think they'd at least get this right with their own internal plugins.

Hello everyone, I bought Zebra 2 last week and after I found this discussion I started to check my system since I use Live 6.07. I hope I can help.

Yes the first Midi note does not play when I start the sequencer. But I found that it does not happens with all Patches. I didn't check all but here goes some that does work.
-SM Mod me a Methny
-SM One note or octave

Does not Work.
-SM 3OSC 2
-TAS String theory.

I realize that wheni I decrease the Attack to 0 the Pads listed start to work.

Ableton is coming with Live 6.0.8 soon(ish) I guess (the 9th public beta going), did not see any related fixes on the changelog, but it wouldn't be the first time they just silently include some fix into the new version. We shall have hope..

I tested the latest Live 6.08 Beta and the problem persists. I sent an email to Ableton support explaining this bug (I also mentioned Absynth 4). I hope they will look into this.

Hm. For me Zebra is the only synth that actually misses the first note (when the clip plays for the first time, when the clip loops the first note is played ok). This happens in arrangement mode, not sure about session. Sadness

Absynth 4 does this too.

Most of the NI products introduced in the last year do with some systems.

We can also add XT2 to the list;

Never had any problems with NI as you speak of. Use Battery, B4, absynth, kontakt, kompakt all the time. Never heard anyone else ever speak of this either. When and how does this happen?

Read the thread. It's the first note not getting played with Live on some systems.
While it doesn't happen to me either (and I have everything NI makes with the exception of Bandstand), it's been reported on more than one system.

I found that the problem also happens with Absynth 4, but it only happens when the RECORD button is on (Red). I also reported to Ableton.
