This is great. Can you do a deep church bell like in AC/DC's "Hells Bells"?pdxindy wrote:http://www.draigathar.org/zebra/sharp-bell.mp3

Should be possible. Zebra's capacity for bells is outstanding.chardin wrote:This is great. Can you do a deep church bell like in AC/DC's "Hells Bells"?pdxindy wrote:http://www.draigathar.org/zebra/sharp-bell.mp3

I was getting audio drop-outs with my PC laptop set-up until I tried turning off the internal WiFi and then that solved it. Wish I could remain connected though as I like to jam online (www.ninjam.com) oh wellbluedad wrote:PCspuddle wrote:Mac or PC?bluedad wrote:I play keys in a band. right now, Z2 and B4 on the laptop, plus my Motif

So with all these I come to think that this might be the perfect synth for industrial-ebm (Grendel, Tactikal sekt, Hocico stuff).
Is it? If yes then its gonna be my next purchase. Any sound examples, concerning this genre maybe? ok i know that theres a lot to do with exteral fx, but if the source sound sucks, then no fx stuff gonna save me...

Got no audios at hand for that but I just listened to a few things of these artists and they sounded as if they were made with Zebra. Not kidding.boukaw7 wrote:So with all these I come to think that this might be the perfect synth for industrial-ebm (Grendel, Tactikal sekt, Hocico stuff).

Heh, you might wanna check out the demo and the soundbanks linked in this forum first... demo restrictions are moderate, for some musical styles such as certain forms of jazz one can't even hear them.

for certain types, the demo restrictions are a 'feature'!Urs wrote:demo restrictions are moderate, for some musical styles such as certain forms of jazz one can't even hear them.

Haven't been making sounds much at all for months (busy with other stuff)
But found a bit o time and have been exploring some hand drum like sounds and simulating hitting the skin in the middle, towards the edge, striking the side etc (either random or modulated by modwheel). This sample is melodic which a plain drum would not do but hey, this is a computer and we can do what we want!

Zebra is amazingly versatile!

Care to share the preset?
Oh Urs, those random notes that the demo plays after 15 minutes, are the velocities random too?

These notes are not random... not completely... it's a progression of c-e-b-r-a where only "r" is a random notespuddle wrote:Oh Urs, those random notes that the demo plays after 15 minutes, are the velocities random too?
the velocities are just those of the keys pressed...
