How to make this amazing bass?

i spent 20 years trying to get synths to sound as good as a real electric bass. then i went out and bought a real electric bass (check out the track 'City Calling' on www.myspace.com/leeboydmusic (http://www.myspace.com/leeboydmusic) for my first effort with it). i'll probably never use a synth for bass again. i've won awards for my programming and production, so should have some tips if anyone has any questions...-

It's a finger-picked bass guitar. I myself almost only use bass guitars for bass sounds... or sometimes my Chapman Stick. Nothing beats the sound of strings ... and it's fun to play as well.shlomiabo wrote:Hey guys. How do I get this beautiful groove house bass?

First 4 bars is the original, second 4 bars the original with less volume and my bass mockup on top.
With a better sample library it should sound rather ok-ish (I only used some pretty much easy sampled bass).
