don't forget EmuX2.5 is coming last quarter of 07 so i guess its the same App
& there will be a upgrade option for plat version i have been told

Windows is perfectly stable here and for most others too. I would question EMUS software, I have the X board 49, Proteus LE didnt like working with the Maudio 24/96 I had at the time, giving stream errors. X2 Platinum or what ever they're calling it this week might be interesting if it were available on a stable, performant platform like Linux or OSX.
Since it is not, I'm not interested in it no matter how much stuff they bundle with it. At this point, Emu couldn't pay me to take it.
