Oooh. I just noticed: you can assign different CCs all around the pad as well, so you can control LOADS of parameters with it, not just absolute X and Y position but little paths like for instance half the top 'row' can be CC70 and the other half CC71 while the diagonal from bottom left to top right is CC72. Heehee. The wonders of reading the manual...

The KP3 is very nice, but I have noticed a few bugs/design flaws. I really hate that all the buttons are not flashing at the same speed as the BPM except the BPM button, so when you record from scratch (with no beats in the background), you have 1 button flashing at
the BPM speed, and 10 other buttons flashing at a fixed rate.. a little confusing.. especially that I like using it only with a microphone sometimes hehe..
Also did anyone notice if you quickly touch two oposite corners somethings the pad will light up in on of the other two corners (not where your fingers are at all). I reproduced this at the store where I bought it because at first I thought it was a defect in my unit.
The firmware is flashable (1.03 is already downloadable) so probably those little quirks will be erased over time.
But its still a very nice machine
I think I'll even get a mini-KP to stick on my guitar (easier and cheaper than building your own KP modded guitar). Both the mini-kp and kp3 share the same components so they sounds exactly the same, they just don't have the same functionalities (conformed by korg in an email).
hey, I can't believe I've been reading stuff here for years and this is my first post
