I'd love you to death if you can send me the saved patchmix template..Even a screenshot would work.
I'll get it to you in a bit; got food on.
The mono in for the guitar's no problem, I don't even need a stereo out from patchmix, just a mono line I can send to the PA. No loops, I already have a file for that one, cheers. I also need to be suer that the GR signal does NOT get sent to the master outs; they need to be isolated from one another.

Are the master outs needed as well, for a different signal?

Despite the fact that you can have mono strips for Line A and Line B, I cant see an easy way to send them to a single dedicated stereo ASIO pair. However Ive set it up so that you've could use either in Guitar Rig, depending on how you set the inputs there...

Despite the fact that I know we have the same card, your patchmix file is telling me I have the wrong version or need to install a daughter card or some shit..

And about an hour ago Reaktor started schitzing out on me as well in a way I've never seen before with audio drop outs in tandem with midi clock resets..

No f**king clue what that's about, but it killed the live track I spent 3 hours setting up to record..

I'm going to take a little time off from this and go find a Clock Tower; I appreciate the help.

I wonder if that's cos Ive got the sync daughtercard installed? jeez I hope that didnt affect your setup...

Have a look at the .session file in a text editor; its human-readable, more or less; you might be able to remove the reference to the daughtercard. If not, send me a basic .session file and I'll look at the differences.
Back at work today, Im afraid, so it'll be about 9-10 hours before I can look at it.

Well, aren't you supposed to have it in there? I still have *something* left in there from the 1212m installation, don't remember if its the daughtercard or not..

It may have something to do with me running the newest beta drivers?

Or maybe it was when I partially ripped my tower off the desk and almost tossed it in the general direction of my f**king loved one..

:hihi:

You dont get the sync card with the 1212; just the 'main' PCI card and the 2in/2out convertor card. You did the same as me, I think, and got the 1820 later, yeah?
Folk who got the full 'boxed set' 1820 will have got the main card, the breakout box, and a sync card. I picked up the sync card later still...

Nah, thats what Im using.

hmmm. not sure. nearly did the same last week ('cept the 'loved one' in that instance would be a Doepfer modular). pilot error that resulted in me disocnnecting every f**king cable on my PC before realising how stupid i was.

hrmphh..

Yeah, I basically went the same path as you from 1212m to 1820m upgrade. The 1820m installation guide said to remove one of the 1212m cards and leave the other one intact. Still have that removed one laying around somewhere..I figured I could install Space Invaders or Doom II on it or something..

anyways, Im sure you dont have the Sync daughtercard, which'll be what your Patchmix was complaining over when it read my session file.

Well, why is yours installed when the installation manual instructed for its removal? There IS a card still left over from the 1212m. The 1820's connected to it just like the 1212m was if I remember correctly.

Nah, nah nah...

We both got : a 1010 main card and a 0202 convertor card
We both removed : the 0202 convertor card
We both added : the 1820 breakout box (connected to the 1010 via a cable)
I alone added : the sync daughtercard (which has 2 BNC connectors, a mini-DIN, and 2 1/4" jack sockets) : http://www.dealtime.co.uk/xPF-Creative- ... ghter-Card

(as far as I know)

I had to buy the daughtercard separately, and got it much later than the breakout box.

What's it there for if you don't mind my asking?

Its function is to provide Midi Timecode, Wordclock, and SMTPE. I got it solely for the wordclock, because I was considering getting an ADAT box to give me more IO.
