Ok, I'm trying to use this JCM 800 lead half stack with Guitar Rig. I know I need an amp between the soundcard and the cabinet. I didn't want to use a guitar amp, as that would defeat the purpose of using GR3, so I went for a PA. I picked up an old Peavy Mark III 4 channel PA hoping this would do the deed.
Its not doing the deed at all. There's hardly any sound coming out of this thing at all. My regular monitors are blowing this thing's doors off.
What could I be doing wrong here? Is there a mismatch in impedance between the PA and the cabinet? Maybe I'm f**king up Emu's patchmix routing(as usual..).
Suggestions are truly appreciated.

Definately something in the way the card's routed. I ran my guitar into my GL-100 preamp then to the Peavy/JCM halfstack and man, it shredded and shredded NICELY..

i honestly thought you had it figured out...i still rememeber your thread about sending signals for outboard processing...i just got an Audio Dock for my 1010 card, hopefully i'm going to dump the rugrats this weekend and reconfig, running stuff thru my Doepfer is one of the main things i wanted the dock for....i also have a Peavey bass head that i want to send things thru, but that's awhile off....hopefully i can report back next week...

What I'm wanting is to just use GR3's output via the 1820m straight into the Peavy or maybe even into my GL-100 pre-amp as a non-coloring signal booster on its own. I'm not sure if I need to select -3db or +10 for input or output, and all the routing options in patchmix look fecking retarded and make no f**king sense for what I'm after..
I heard that the beta 2 patchmix drivers allowed making mono channel strips, but I don't see those either. You can't even have an asio31/32 out or wave out without inserting a f**king return in the strip(WTF?!)...
Fecking patchmix..I'm ready to smash something god damn I'm having a f**king bad day right now......
The next step is to call those pricks and if anyone's called Emu for service, you know why I'm ready to axe murder the first pair of moving lungs I see..

well.. just to try, you could run the line out of the soundcard to the FX return of the guitar amp head, this way u would bypass the preamp, and only use the poweramp section... then hook the amp to the cabnit... just to see if its ure PA amp or the the routing...
Also, in case u are not to sure bout the routing in the patchmi, just use one of ure LR (main) outs. That would be out 4.
From what i recall, that cabnit is wired at 8ohms mono 9or was it 16), should not be a problem.

The cab is 8 ohms mono. Funny thing is if I use the monitor(headphone) out, I get full amplitude..Which I really don't want. I want to route the guitar to the amp, and everything else(winamp, etc) to my soundcard's mains..

First time Ive seen this thread; sorry.
Are you trying to set this up as a send/return loop, or just output to the Peavey as the final stage?
Ive just tried it, with my little 'Smoky' amp; set up a new session, added a new strip which was an ASIO out pair to Dock 1/L and 1/R, and routed the outputs of GR2 to them. Worked fine without any other gizmery.
(Looks like I can only create mono strips for the A and B front panel sockets, though, not for any of the rear-panel sockets.)

goddamnit, i can't really f**k with anything atm because my audiodock is packed up and Patch Mix won't let me select any hardware i/o...
look, take it for what it's worth, but try this: get a channel going in PM that's getting your ASIO host signal, just play that one and make sure something is there...go to the insert section and right click on one of those thingies, and select the aux send pre fader, and choose the one you want to use as the physical output going to your amp or whatever (don't choose send/return or direct monitoring)...ignore that it's stereo, it really shouldn't matter, just keep everything panned center and select either left or right for now to make it easy ...bring up both aux sends on that channel and see if you are getting a signal thru whatever it is you want it to go to...as far as setting the signal level, it depends...i assume most mixer inputs are going to want to see +4, i would start there....make sure the aux sends are up at about 2 o'clock above the main out section, and if you are actually getting something you can start f**king with the various levels....
the one thing i figured out about Patch Mix is that it is a real digital mixer independent of the host, but the controls are in the app...when you have an Audio Dock hooked up it become the i/o for the mixer, and the host i/o needs to be routed as well...it can be as complicated or simple as you want it to be....again, i haven't actually tried this stuff but i've been thinking it out as that's my intended use, and i hope it works out...i will test it all out this weekend, promise...

The mono in for the guitar's no problem, I don't even need a stereo out from patchmix, just a mono line I can send to the PA. No loops, I already have a file for that one, cheers. I also need to be suer that the GR signal does NOT get sent to the master outs; they need to be isolated from one another.
