DirectGuitar, Fender stratocaster '82 with pickup from '60s.

DirectBass, YAMAHA TRB 5 Strings from the first of 90's, the greatest TRB ever made. I know that now TRB doesn't sound like that.

Do you like the sound of them?

Thanks for the info Andrea! Oh yes, I really like the sound of them! I bought the bundle very recently and, to be honest, I haven't used DirectGuitar all that much yet. DirectBass, though, I've used a bit already and totally love!

So is it the same guitar you're using for DirectGuitar 1 & 2?

Hey, how are the roundrobins on Directguitar 1 & 2? I think machine gun repetition is the biggest problem w/ sampled guitar, hopefully you have addressed that... the demos do sound great.

Thanks Pekadant, yes, I'm using the same Fender that I've used in DirectGuitar 1.0.

DirectGuitar 2.0 has two ways of Round robin. First round robin consist in the pick noise up-stroke and down-stroke. The second round robin regards the full string samples.

I would not have thought that the jazz pickup was done with a strat. how wrong one can be...

it's possible to create a jazz sound with a Fender. In fact DirectGuitar was created when I have had the necessity to obtain a jazz sound from a Fender. I've got it using the neck pickup with the tone almost closed. Then I decided to create a sample library from the guitar and I've called it DirectGuitar

I would not have thought this. but since you were asking for suggestions: I am curious about the strumming and it if you happen to get hold of a les paul: maybe add the DG sound diversity.

well, the les paul is the other classic guitar and most people I guess would be excited about a les paul. but for me any good humbucker sound will do it...

I think he means a sampled guitar with a humbucker bridge pickup.
