Hi,

I'm working on the new update of DirectGuitar. The ver. 2.0

Here some info about it:

New articulations:
- Slap, Palm Muted, strum, Metal and more.

Round Robin: Up/Down strokes

Key switching:
- Slide Up/Down
- Blues, Jazz, Rock Licks
- Trill
- Harmonics
- Chords
- Strum noises

New release noises
Pick noises
Hand noises

I've added a video that demostrate one of the articulation "Hand slap"

Soon I'll release new articulations such as strumming ( a new way to strum ), and Metal.

Yes, there will be an upgrade from version 1.0 or 1.5 kontakt 2.2 users at this moment.

Yes I've plan to do DirectBass 2.0 but not know. Now I've other 2 very interesting sample library for you guys that I'm going to release next months.

Still doesn't tell me wether or not this is Kontakt 2 compatible, or Kontakt 3 only.

I'm really curious how the new palm mute articulation will sound when used in rapid "chug" passages for power chords.

Ops, Sorry Compyfox. I don't have Kontakt 3 so I don't know if DirectGuitar is compatible with it. It will be compatible with Kontakt 2.2 for sure because I've mapped DirectGuitar with it.
If you go to Native instruments page you'll find more info about compatibility. As far as Native Instrument concerned I think they have supported Kontakt 2 in their new product.

This is all I wanted to know, cause I refuse to update to Kontakt3 for at least the next half year.

I really like your 'Sledge Guitar' samples and am using them. One thing I can't seem to find is the real deal solid, damped late 70's funk-disco drums. I have searched forums looking for how they were recorded and found some answers - but nobody has any samples - at least that I can find. So this is a request.

Here's some quotes if you're interested:

Get the drummer to play 75% oh his/her normal volume. It's essential that you baffle off the drums and lose as much room sound as you can. In those days, many drums were tracked in drum booths. I started recording right at the end of the disco era and many of the drum booths were literally 10 ft across and 10ft high" "TIGHT MIKING! bk5 or d 200 k, 633 a or 57 sn top, 57 sn bottom, 451's hat/ovds, re 15's [these were miked either top or bottom in the shell , km 84's rack toms, re 20 fl tom"
