I remember that you talked about something drumsynths also during the beta period of Z2...can't wait to see what can be come out from the u-he lab about drum synths, but only one request urs, think about program change at the start of developing please!!!

I love Microtonic for:

- Random, Alter, reverse, copy, paste, load, save Features for sequencer & sounds

- Really fast/easy pattern changes and chains that I wish my Electribes had!

- Very nice/innovative midi control options, like notes to change patterns or mute parts, playing each part pitched, being able to assign one set of CC#'s that can work for the active drum sound, etc...

- It's sound, which is strange because it's such simple device.

It's just that all of the other drum synths I've tried sound muted or dull, even if they can be far more complex...

It's also fun to drive drum samplers from the sequencer.


The accent level could be adjustable per level and there could be automation, and loading of kits separate from patterns, but for the most part, it's an almost perfect drum synth for a silly price!

I haven't followed that because it would probably be cpu-overkill. On the other hand... if they were monophonic... with today's machines... hmmm... maybe not the worst idea...

I know you had the idea already, i was just reminding you of an idea i liked the sound of when you first mentioned it and love the sound of now.

If you do a drumsynth, pinch the XOR idea that Waldorf Attack does: allow the user to line certain sounds up on the same "channel" so they cut one another off as they trigger.

Also the Zebrafy FX plugin sounds like a winner too.
