Do you really think that he doesn't already have everything installed, anyway? He obviously already has FL & his key installed for a long time, the only reason he posts here is to whine.

I told others at IL.. instead of banning & create new martyrs, we just needed a 'playpen' forum to which we'd send assholes.

before you judge me, judge yourself, you can't even answer what is the reason that you don't add custom shortcuts.

you can say "I don't have to tell you what are my reasons", and I can say the same thing to you "I don't have to tell you what is the reason I need my reg keys again. (it could be Format ? Reinstall ? New pc ? etc...)

btw I really don't give a damn about the forum, 90% of the time in IL forum is a waste of time because there are lots of useless people in your forum, but what about technical support ?! you don't even answer to e-mails.

I once debated the reasons behind the no shortcut editing, I guess you weren't there.
-it makes it much easier in tutorials & answers to mention shortcuts, instead of 'whatever you linked it to'
-the user shouldn't be responsible to check shortcut conflicts, while we have a global view of the app & can make shortcuts in different windows & plugins that blend well together

..but I don't expect you to agree. So for you, the short answer is: it's the way it is, and we don't need to justify it. You've paid for an existing app & its existing set of features, not for promises.

did you hear about "Default settings" or Restore to default?
what about the possibility to save/load export/import settings?
you can see if they shortcut that you want to use is already assigned to something else to prevent conflicts etc..

OK, I'm asking serious questions, prompted by the content of this thread, and consistent with the sentiments of others who have not declared any interest in .... 1. nature of the content of the 'fight'
..and, 2. what anyone else would do if they were running the site.

Q.1, Is it correct that a user has been banned for a month from accessing products he/she paid for in response to content posted on a forum?
Q.2, Does IL have a written policy regarding this action? if so, where?
Q.3, Would it be possible for someone qualified to represent IL to state why they believe such a measure is justified (without dredging through all the gory details and trading insults )?
Q.4, Can we as FL users be pointed towards some well-considered guidance with regard to what other circumstances IL might see as justification for suspending/terminating a users right to access what they have paid for?

Unless a company requires that you must be what they determine to be 'favorable' before you buy their product, then that company cannot deny your use of that product.

Otherwise it is discrimination, and running on shaky ground.

Yeah, I've always had a lot of praise for IL who've been very honest in most things and very helpful, even to those who act like complete cocks.

However, this policy of banning people from their products is NOT good, and damages IL's reputation severely. What is a good reason to ban someone from their paid-for goods? If they act like a cock on the forums, ban them from the forums, but unless they're handing out serials to their friends or trying to nailbomb IL's headquarters, this policy is an absolute stinker.

(I'm sure it IS just an oversight from IL's new grouped login setup and this is just an unfortunate side-effect of the new system which can be fixed.)

He is not denied the use of his product, he can download it (everyone can, registered or not), and he already got his reg email & downloaded his reg code (lost it? If you buy something and you lose it, you're responsible, not the seller).

But that's what HE is trying to do. Do you seriously think that he lost his regcode and needs a new one the day right after he has been banned from the forum?

It was pretty clear that he was looking for getting banned, he repeated it several time (& to his surprise he was still not banned), and it was pretty clear that it was to whine on another forum. It must also be a coincidence if he registers at KVR the day after he has been banned.
