Jo, the strangest thing happened to me -
I was recording automation from Bar 1 to Bar 37 and I split the part at 32 and 33 and made a new part from that segment (split -> duplicate) to run as a loop from there, and when I double clicked the part to edit the automation it showed me weird start and loop points in the upper 60s (I hadn't even recorded any further than Bar 37). Is this a bug or am I overlooking something?

Marco :)

I just tried what you described but everything ok.

Is this repeatable?

If yes, can you please give me a step by step how to repeat this.

Thanks!

hey mutools i have a new little request.
its tiny and all, but i really feel that mulab is missing it.
in the rack window, when we set up a rack's pan, we dont see any precise information about how much panning we have done, but we have to guess. i mean if i have two racks, each containing a different guitar solo and i wanna pan one exactly 33% right and the other one 33% left, im not sure i can do it precisely enough.
so maybe u can add a tooltip that pops out and shows the digits as we change the pan value?
and then when we release the mouse, the tooltip dissapears.

like this:

Ok, taken note about this, thanks.

Instead of having to click, it would rather be displayed as a tool tip when you hover the pan/gain.

cool.
but i got two more things on my mind!

1) a request - a clock
when i make songs in mulab, im not really sure how long they are until i export them. its true that its a nice surprise when u export a song and then u see that its more than 3 minutes long and u didnt even know it lol. BUT mulab needs a clock. maybe something like a small vst clock that we could add to the master channel (like fruity loops' fruity BIG clock), or even better, u could implement a small clock somewhere in the gui. or maybe im too ignorant and there is a clock already in mulab but im not aware of it (if this is the case i will punch my own face).

2) a bug - minimized taskbar instance not refreshing (or something)
this is a rather small thing to change, but it will sure make the program look even more pro. anyway coz my english aint all that great i will explain in picture:

It's on the whishlist.

Thanks for the link!

Can't immediately reply there, first have to register... :?

Does Andy know the 6-track limit is for the Free version only?

Also, if he has feedback, requests or suggestions about MU.LAB, please link him to this forum.

Thanks.

request:

turn all effects on/off switch

example:

u have been working on a song for a while, added a bunch of eqs, compression, reverbs, echoes, u name it, and ur computer is already begining to stutter, but all of a sudden u get this amazing musical idea and you really want to record it with your guitar. but you are also kinda affraid that your computer may not be able to make it with all the effects already involved and constant data overflows. so what do u do? go through racks and right clicking all the little vst effects to access their drop down menus? no. push a button and turn all fxs off. now its easy to record and later turn everything back on.

not sure if anyone else will like the idea but i believe it would be useful... and it would give even more 'lightweightedness' to mulab. it is also not too hard to implement?

What about this solution:

-> Mixdown everything into a single audio file, and enable "Create New Part Using Result".

-> Mute all tracks except the mixdown

-> Setup your guitar using an existing rack or a new rack

-> Now do Help -> Help Functions -> Reset Realtime Engines.

This will reset all plugins to silence. And because MU.LAB uses smart plugin IO streaming, any plugins not used while recording your guitar won't use CPU. And because we have done the mixdown, most plugins will not be used and thus won't consume CPU.

Does that work for you?

works indeed.
thanks :]
