Except that Zebra is wireless, what big difference there would be with Berlin?

Do you plan to have a new skin for Filterscape, resizable skin?

Any plan for MFM2?

Thanks! :)

In Zebra, there are two kinds of routings: from audio output to audio input, and from modulation source to modulation target. The audio routings connect modules in the left-hand racks, and these routings are depicted graphically in the central grid. The mod routings are harder to trace; typically you have to read the legends attached to the target's depth knobs. (Interestingly, VirSyn TERA works the opposite way: all the mod routings are collected in a two-page matrix, but the audio routings have to be traced by reading the labels on each receiving module's input slots.)

If Urs's enthusiasm for analog modulars such as the Cwejman is any indicator, the "Berlin modular" might reduce or eliminate this distinction between audio and mod routings, so you could use audio rate signals (like oscillator outputs) freely as modulators, you could run an LFO through a filter before applying it to (say) the cutoff of another filter, and so on.

Only speculating.

Hi Urs,

All the best wishes for you in 2009. May each day be filled with good health and joy.

Linear Phase EQ, will it have at least:
M/S option
Low CPU consumption
Low/Zero Latency

Thanks.
Hiya,

Thanks for your kidn words & welcome to this forum :)

I think I posted a list somewhere, but I can probably recreate it out of memory:

FilterscapeLQ (linear phase eq, free addition to Filterscape license)
Berlin Modular (modular synth with wires)
Dynamcis Bundle (like Uhbik, but compressors, multiband, transient stuff, de-esser)
Zebrify (Zebra with input, free addition to Zebra license)
A.C.E. (very special synth)
Drum Thing (funny drum machine)
Sampler & sample integration for Zebra (next decade)
Host environment (next millenium I think)

As always, no deadlines. I'm well known to postpone estimated releases by 1-2 years

Cheers,

;) Urs

Absolutely correct. Except, no LFOs. Because Oscillators can do the trick.

Sorry, I can't promise any of these... M/S might be doable, cpu consumption might be possible, but zero latency isn't doable :-|

Internal builds of Filterscape already have resizable/skinnable gui.

MFM2 will see some additions in the MatrixFX department and maybe some sort of minimal surround support (as will Filterscape).

Forget the rest of the stuff....

I want BM ASAP

Do you have any plan for a beat mangling plugin? Something like dblue glitch, Effectrix or similar?

Honestly, it's not my thing. It may be part of the host though. If ever.

On the other hand, FM was never my thing either. Or *cough* *cough* delays.

How about doing a poll of the uhe fanbase to find out which of these is the most important to the most people ?

Sheesh... I don't think it would work. Everything is related. For instance, sampling, host and sample playback in Zebra belong together. Dynamics Bundle and Uhbik belong together. Host relies on Dynamics Bundle and Uhbik. Berlin Modular, Zebrify and Drum Thing have relations (which may not be obvious at first glance). A.C.E. seems unrelated and probably is. But it might be fun to do. Dunno.

Seriously, there are ties on all levels and at 1 product a year we're still talking 10 years. Which is a prospect I like.

I'm most interested in Berlin Modular and sample import for Zebra. I would probably be very interested in A.C.E. too, that is, if it's what I think it is (by the sounds of it this is at the bottom of Urs' to do list anyway, so I won't get too excited just yet).

Would sample import in Zebra also mean granular synthesis?

an LFO is an oscillator....
