Thanks for the comments - I really appreciate the feedback, and these forums in general - so much quality content :D

I'll try and update this within four or five days, if for no other reason than I'll feel better if I think I followed through with everything.

* Separation of modules should just require adding some pixels to the .png image size, and a few easy tweaks to the Zebra2 script . . . if this is the only thing I screwed up graphically I was fortunate XD

* Weird aliasing on the knobs I think is a result of just an unfortunate combination of the graphic and the interpolation algorithm. The original image is 64x64, in 800x590 resolution it gets downsized to 32x32 (which looks ok?) but 28x28 seems to be goofing. Does this happen when Zebra2's window size is upped to 1200x885 or larger?

* The performance skin needs a few tweaks: a volume knob, and I think it should be pretty easy to also give a third pane for the XY assign controls, which would be pretty obviously useful.

* The performance window crashing, I'm guessing, is due to resizing the window. But it can't be quite as simple as that since I'm assuming Zebra2 doesn't crash when resizing the normal aspect up or down.

How I resize the window is pretty simple, but probably all kinds of wrong. The first 'control' entry of the Zebra2 script is sort of the master canvas:

Code: Select all

CONTROL type='Pane' name='Top Panel' bounds='0.00 0.00 800.00 590.00' inset='1.00 1.00 1.00 1.00' parent='root' layerMask='ffffffff'
The bounds entry is x-offset, y-offset, x-size, y-size; it's '0.00 0.00 800.00 412.00' in the perform skin. (What objects are visible objects is controlled by layer masks, and this would be my second guess on why things crash).

The only things I can think of to try are:
- Resizing the graphics for the backgrounds of the performance skin; currently they are at 800x412, maybe some combination of 800x590
- Exploring whether different iterations of screen size also lead to crashes

I'm on a Mac, can get access to a Windows machine on Sunday, and suppose I can try these things w/ FLoops and EnergyXT demos (both of which I should check out anyway). Short of any revelations I'm not at all sure this crashing will be fixed.

Also - when I said 'Uhbik-Z' that was a fictional thing . . . like Uhbik-ü (a formant filter with bilingual modes) or Uhbik-© (plays random copyrighted clips that can't be used on a commercial production) :D

+1 ... I do prefer the simpler style of the Unangular one.

All i can say is soon.
It is almost done, but...
Lately i've got extremely little [or not at all] spare time...
It will be definitely posted here, on kvr.
I'm glad you like it.
:)
Cheers.
