Oh! You wouldn't believe some of the weirdos that got in touch during that period! And when I closed the service...!!! Jeeeez - the whackjobs REALLY crawled out of the wood work!!! The best one has to be...

"you selfish, capitalist c*nt. how dare you stop the free downloads. unless you put it back up immediately, i am going to have you arrested"

Seriously? Someone actually said this? While I can understand his/her frustration(your free sounds are of excellent quality), he/she should know that you are under no obligation to keep those free downloads up, unless you want to.
Arturia, Gforce, Fabfilter, Spectrasonics, Camel Audio, Native Instruments, Fxpansion

I bought the Nebulae collection this morning, and am playing with them now. Instant download link and plenty of bandwidth. This is a really nice collection if you like big lush workstation style pads. Top quality stuff as always from Hollow Sun.

Thank you...

Indeed. The attitude of "entitlement" that so many people seem to have these days is pretty disgusting. Those who decry capitalism don't seem to get the fact that if we did away with property rights so they could have anything they wished, they would no longer have a right to anything they have either and it could all be taken away upon the whim of another. But hey, why let a modicum of logical consistency get in the way of their fantasy of a world where everything grows on trees.

And short-sighted....

Like it or not in their Utopian fantasy, without the exchange of the Queen's shilling (or the dollar or the €uro or ¥en, rupee, peso, zlotych, whatever), there is little or no incentive for sound library developers to continue developing products because, strange though it may seem, sound library developers also have to put food on the table, get their kids through school, pay bills and rent/mortgage just like the rest of us ... and we're not all running round in Ferraris in our Caribbean holiday retreats (I wish!).

The "entitlement" brigade might like to think that they are 'sticking it to the man' (like all sound lib developers are Micro$haft or something) but fast forward a few years when (in a worse case scenario) all sound lib developers have given up because they are sick of being ripped off by opportunist t.o.r.r.e.n.t. merchants ... what will there be to steal??!!

Sorry if I sound a bit grouchy but I have just spent the weekend getting an illegal contravention of a friend's IP removed from a forum and battling with some shit-for-brains idiots who think they have done no wrong by making his samples public domain without permission. They believe they are 'entitled' to the sound come what may, regardless of copyright

Hi Shane,

Try your link again - should be fixed.

Dunno what happened there - my test download worked fine the other day!

Anyway, let me know how you get on.

Hi steve,
as an owner of "Nostalgia",
(btw, learned a bit from you about some "historic" synths from
the description of the Lib content),
I'd like to know, if there's some overlap of the Nebulea Set with
the Nostalgia set, and if so, how much ?

Btw, your latest freebie sounds lovely, much appreciated
(and a thank you to Joeri Peeters for sure).

Have a nice day,
Cheers

Nice to see you back Steve (ok, I know you haven't really gone away).

Free stuff is a privilege that some just take for granted, although the recent stuff you mention quite rightly gets some thanks your way.
Hope all goes well for you.

Hi losan,

Nice to see you here as well!

If you have 'Nostalgia', if I am being honest, it's probably not worth buying 'Nebulae' as well as there is some overlap. There IS stuff in 'Nebulae' that wasn't covered in 'Nostalgia' and 'Nebulae' has a slightly different take on some of the pads in 'Nostalgia' (and there IS new stuff in 'Nebulae' - the 'Atmosferics' section of 'Nostalgia' is a kind of 'Nebulae Lite' IYSWIM) but I wouldn't want you to buy 'Nebulae' and maybe feel cheated because you have some of those sounds in 'Nostalgia'.

On the other hand....

The fact that 'Nebulae' is in K3 format and not constricted by 'Nostalgia's' Kompakt player means that you could do a lot more with those sounds if you're a tweaker even if there is some overlap!

But it's your call of course.

Excellent Shane. Glad to hear that :)

I do apologise for the trouble.

But honestly, I don't know what went wrong because my recent test download was fine. 'One of those things' I guess!

Whatever... enjoy! And thanks for your purchase - appreciated.
