Bought it minutes ago.

Website from SB is indeed super slow !

I am about to install it and fizzle around with it in Logic 9.
Have to read the manual i think to put the IAC thang up.

Anxious to try it out !
Thank you SB !

hi,

i downloaded eloquence and installed it on my mac, it went in my plugins folder where all my vsts are, i cant seem to open it though in cubase.

It wont open as a vsti or a midi plugin, am i supposed to place the vst somewere else, i went through all the possible places, and package contents of cubase but cant seem to figure out where midi plugins are supposed to be, cubase has about 10 midi plugins as standard, i dont even know where they are, can someone please help me :?

many thanks

Post

btw i forgot to mention,

im using an intel mac runing osx 10.5.6 with latest version of cubase 5 (5.0.1)

any help would be much appreciated!

Post

you should find Eloquence among your vst instruments.
When the plugin is in the correct folder, you should be able to see Eloquence in Devices/Plugin Information in Cubase.

yes i updated the plugin information, its there in the list, but for some reason i cant select it on a channel insert on cubase, either as a vsti nor a midi insert on a midi channel, please help!!! i didn't bother with the demo version, i purchased it as i have been patiently waiting for it's release

Post

just to be clearer, its in the plugin information list as a vst but its not in my list of vst's when selecting a vst on a channel

Hi,

Eloquence is a standard VST-Instrument.
You have to plug it in the VST-Instrument Rack.
You find the rack in Devices->VST-Instruments.

Ok people , my very first impressions (being critical) :

System : Mac Pro , Snow Leopard.
DAW: Logic 9

Installed eloquence.
Did the IAC setup thang.

I cabled IAC to a second synth in Logic , just as the manual stated : timing is dead on !

But ... what i really want is to RECORD the outputted MIDI from eloquence.
This is in my opinion a really powerful idea to edit the recorded midi afterwards in Logic's midi editors.
Sidenote : this idea / feature is totally not mentioned in the manual : weird.

So i cabled the output from the IAC bus to the sequencer input object in Logic,
Well, it works but timing is now way off :(
I listened to the outputted midi from eloquence with the metronome in logic on and the outputted midi is running before the metronome and seems unstable in timing.

I am guessing that this problem is not really eloquence's fault , i assume it has something to do with the interaction between logic and IAC.

I experimented with several audio buffer settings in logic : no difference.

Maybe i have to sort thangs better out to get a more stable and better timing when i want to record the outputted midi in logic.

More side notes :

- i can see this plugin can be very, very powerful when i have it totally under control ! (but will it beat Numerology 2 ?!!)

- Took me some time to find the button for the synth section ..(manual is not very clear about this i think)
Maybe i am getting blind but i wished there was a more clear button for it, in a more logical place in the UI.

waiting time is over, Eloquence is released!
Make sure you check out the video and the demo version!
A few demosounds on the Eloquence page just show off a small
clue of whats possible with Eloquence, the art of expression!

JUST TO CONFIRM, I RESTARTED MY COMPUTER, LOADED CUBASE ON MY MAC AND IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM NOW!!! GREAT PLUG, A DEFINATE MUST BUY IF UR INTO SEQUENCING!

THE INTERNAL SYNTH ISNT THAT GREAT BUT THE BEST THING IS TRIGGERING ALL MY VST'S!

The only problem i have now though is that it can go out of sync quite easily, other then that its an excellent plug

all good hear on an intel mac 8 core with cubase 5 8)

Despite my initial concerns, I've just tried the demo and you guys have my compliments. I 'get it'. Great plugin - a must buy I think.

I'm in love. You have done almost everything I could dream for. Just would like a random mode for only pitch for when I'm out for something interesting.
