No - I say keep the rules as simple as possible.MCnoone wrote:@xh3rv
You might want to be specific about which FX modules can be used, as you might not want people to use VCF filters or others in the FX mod grid.

Why didn't you give it as a prize for last month's contest ???![]()

Wow! That looks great. Incentive, indeed. Thanks for the prizes Urs.Urs wrote:xh3rv,

Release date will be shortly after the comp is finished I guess, but that doesn't really matter, does it?

Actually it was more of a question, which requires more of an answer.hakey wrote:No - I say keep the rules as simple as possible.
The rule is up to 3 modules in the fx grid. Specifically excluding particular modules would unnecessarily complicate things; and modifying or adding extra rules after the official announcement probably isn't such a good idea.MCnoone wrote:Actually it was more of a question, which requires more of an answer.hakey wrote:No - I say keep the rules as simple as possible.
So does NO mean we can't use vcf's in the FX slots, or does NO mean we can?
There are cases like, LP 6db mode filter probably isn't wrong for this challenge, or a filter on delays / reverb to add more separation between dry / wet signal I don't think is wrong. I feel like people will understand the intent of the contest and won't break it, bending it just a little with non-XMF filters might be worth it in terms of the sound of the patches in the end.MCnoone wrote:@xh3rv

Thanks, link added - this is the ms20-esque synth you've been hinting at? I have a schoolboy crush on the UI.Urs wrote:xh3rv,

Ya, I can do that. I'll probably check that e-mail more or less daily until it's closer to the deadline, so it might take a bit to confirm. I got yourspummel wrote:As the patches come flying in, could you send out a quick reply? "got it" would be enough; just to let the sender know it was received. Thanks!
