At least they finally posted Trillium.
They don't have the resources to make this a viable platform..

The sad part about the whole deal is that they will not even bother to make a statement to address this subject. I've had the upgrade for K6 for 7 months with the statement from them that this was a priority. Now, I as many others that have bought the upgrade-due to that statement, are stuck with the software.Clie wrote:Yup. Nothing.mbscpo wrote:Still no word or comment from Muse. We're sorry about the silence on this. Since there was nothing new to say we didn't until now.nathankingcole wrote:I am nearly peeing my pants with anticipation for using the new Kontakt scripting features in Komplete 6! Any news or progress? Or timeline?
It's no secret that the downside of using a Receptor is the installation of new plug-ins. Once the plug-ins are up and running on Receptor we don't hear about many problems. We certainly wish that plug-in installation was easier, but it's the part of the process that we have the least control over, and therefore the most problematic. Our Direct Install technology was designed to allow users to install their own plug-ins. Our initial release of it fell short of our expectations, but we have learned from it.
In order to thwart viruses and other kinds of malware, the OS providers (Apple and MS) are constantly enabling and changing their security methodologies to protect endusers. Unfortunately this reeks havoc on Direct Install when it is run over a network. People using it for multiple DVD installers like Komplete 5 would discover that a connection lost during the install process would bring it down resulting in a call to us and time wasted for them.
We have been busy reworking our approach and it will be available to customers in the next few weeks. The new approach actually builds the data on the Receptor's drive rather than trying to install it over the network. The new strategy greatly assists with error checking and correction so that the user doesn't have to deal with it and can get to the music making. We have been using this technique internally for several years using a command-line interface. We'll make it available to our key retailers and distributors first and them to endusers shortly after that.
Receptor is never going to support every plug-in in the market, but our goal is to support the best ones and deliver a musical experience that works better than a computer in many music environments.
Hope this explanation will help.

Thank you for your reply. We have been wondering when this was going to happen to where we could utilize the K6 upgrade software many of us had already purchased.chalaby wrote:We're sorry about the silence on this. I have bought the K6 upgrade, Scarbee Vintage keys and Alicia keys, and they are sitting here gathering dust. It has been many months since K6 was released and it is still no go on Receptor.(unless of course I buy a new one) Is it in the too hard basket or is Muse actually working on it?? I also would love to get the soon to be released Ivory 11 but am reluctant due to probability that it also wont be installable
A lot of us are going to have to go back to laptops...sad as I have invested many $$$'s in my Receptor 2 Pro. Not good..

I'd be happy if you just get us the ones you've promised. Will the new method work for SD2 as well?chalaby wrote:

I think that actually fulfilling the promises made will go a very long way with your customers. The Komplete 6 upgrade would be BIG as it was promised in October of '09. BTW it's May now and about to be June of '10...Clie wrote:I'd be happy if you just get us the ones you've promised. Will the new method work for SD2 as well?chalaby wrote:

Recently got a Receptor 2 after reading that Komplete 6 is fully supported [on Muse Research's site]. However, after seeing this thread & failing to find an installer, it seems that K6 is only supported if pre-installed by Muse Research? so confused...

You are correct. Muse uses a direct connection and linux commands to load Komplete 6, and as Chris Hallaby stated above people were having trouble installing Komplete 5 using the Remote method. Therefore, Muse is trying to create a Komplete 6 install method that normal users can manage.c1v1lkeys wrote:Recently got a Receptor 2 after reading that Komplete 6 is fully supported [on Muse Research's site]. Unfortunately this has not yet been released so the only way to get Komplete 5 on your Receptor is to ship it to them and have Muse do it.

install the dedicated Receptor patches. Muse Support helped me to resolve this.
