It can have a "used look", but it doesn't need to look *overly* crunched. In fact, a bit less crunched would probably have a bigger impact.

Hehe, yeah, rather something classic... the last one is hardly readable

I like that last one, puts me in mind of an eighties Arnie movie for some reasonrunray wrote:how about this?Urs wrote:It's pretty nice, but I would definately change the font for UHBIK-A... maybe something more technical...runray wrote:Do you like it?![]()

If I understand right blending is extremely needed when you turn the knobs with 'Shift+Mouse'?Urs wrote: (That said, the rotation/blending technique *only* works with frames that have a perfectly circular mask. It won't work if you have a non-circular knob, or if the knob needs to have a steady texture like reflections)

Not necessarily. The blending allows for very smooth transitions with relatively moderate memory usage (the knobs are quite large, after all...). 101-201 frames would do the trick as well. The visual feedback is provided by the value display.runray wrote:If I understand right blending is extremely needed when you turn the knobs with 'Shift+Mouse'?Urs wrote: (That said, the rotation/blending technique *only* works with frames that have a perfectly circular mask. Looking good runray
I have one small suggestion/nitpick though, shouldn't the cracks in the paint be removed from behind the "vents"? It's more visible on the left side than the right.
Btw. The Rado theme is really good aswell

Very impressive, although it looks like someone bought a piece of well-worn vintage gear and fitted it with a set of shiny new replacement knobs. Personally I'd prefer a more unified look.

Tastes differ. With respect to your opinion...

Some dullness to the knobs would fit the character more. i.e. the worn\used look
Needs some rust to go with the cracked paint. Scratches on the paint as well.
All in IMO of course.
