Here it is - high notes are quite similar, low notes are fuller than the original:

the patch sounds great! Thanks.bmrzycki wrote:Howard, thank you for your generosity. New presets from you are always a blessing.
jeffb01, I hope that's good enough to welcome you into the Zebra2 family.
...and yes, I'm now in the Zebra family. I just bought zebra 2.5 (and the zebra science presets, of course).
thanks again.

I forgot to add volume control via mod wheel (as in the original). Simply click on the lower MOD knob belonging to lane 1 (look below the grid), select ModWhl from the list and take the knob down to minimum. Then SAVE

Really like this type of patch. HS Tonto Sings - is another. Perhaps something of a Howard Scarr signature patch?
And, being an ex Virus C owner, I too remember the original HS Diva. I also recall that it didn't take me long to realise that Virus patches suffixed 'HS' were the good uns!
It's very kind of Howard to offer to personally recreate every last one of our favourite Virus HS patches in Zebra - just trying to remember which ones I particularly liked...

There's a ton of free presets available at http://u-he.com/PatchLib/zebra.html if you're looking for something different. Check out mcnoone's work too.

If that's the one I'm remembering, it was one of those kind of quintessentially-Virusey dirty/dusty/fizzy ARP patches, wasn't it? Quite liked that one if so.Prions HS
Is that Howard's "Diva" patch Thomas Dolby used for the live version of "Budapest by Blimp" from The Sole Inhabitant DVD, I wonder? I saw him playing the part on his TI Polar and just assumed he was triggering a sample via MIDI, but from the sounds of the example posted, maybe it was just the TI itself.

Ah, nope, after playing the Zebra "Diva" patch, the Virus equivalent was apparently not what Mr. Dolby used. But a very nice patch, regardless.

Well, I'll let you off that one.Howard wrote:No wayhakey wrote:...Nowhere BC...
TBH, I can't remember what most of those sounded like now, though some of the names - Popcorn, Shine On etc. give a fair clue. I remember E Rigby was a cello. Wasn't Prions an effect along the lines of the Zebra patches Positronic Brain, or Zorch Electrons - certainly something about the name makes me think it was one of the ones I rather liked.
