Oh yeah, the dropdown list will be missed. The new one doesn't even have auto-complete a la (a.... absynth, audirealism bassline etc). Pretty useless if you don't know exactly what you're looking for.
edit: ok so it does have a function where you can type a rough idea what you want and it will give you plugins the names of which contain that word. But what if say a compressor doesn't have the word 'compressor' in its name? I wonder if the search is looking into the blurbs also - that would make it a pretty powerful tool.

Arrgh! for example, right now I'm trying to think of the name of that free VST host...Normally I'd just click the quick pop down for hosts and viola!

Not really a one to complain about stuff like this ...
I just like to come here and use the site the way I always have ...
So ... please put things back to the way they were ...
This new side-bar thingy is so intrusive ... and it doesn't work ... the bottom is always cut off and when I select what used to be the default of latest posts, there are these stupid big splodges at the side taking up even more space ... and when I select a tab to only display latest posts it instantly forgets my choice ... and the extra size of this sidebar , even though I am using 19inch monitors, means that I have to scroll sideways ...
as I said earlier .. please put things back
James

I really love KVR. And I never complain about anything but this sidebar....
SRY guys, this is a no go!
I like the new red profile thing though!
At the guys who had problems with the random cycling of the tabs: You have to click on "Update sidebar tab display preference" to make the changes to the preferences work.
Cheers
Dennis

Plus, right-click doesn't work in IE8. I always right-click to open interesting posts in separate tabs, now I can't.

Yeah, I clicked on that the first time. After login out and login in again everything seems to work right.Bronto Scorpio wrote:At the guys who had problems with the random cycling of the tabs: You have to click on "Update sidebar tab display preference" to make the changes to the preferences work.
I'm begining to like the "new posts" new look, even if the icons are a bit big.

drop-down list for plugins? are you serious?
there are a lot of plugins now, the little handle thingy would be really really tiny, you'd nudge it and find yourself 200 listings off

I doubt we'll see any changes or roll back on anything. Web developers code of honor insists they're always right and the users are just dumb sods who'll get used to it.
