I think I must have sent my patches in too late to participate this time. Rats.
Tyrell is a great synth, and I can't wait to go through all the patches and cast my vote.
Cheers to all the participants.

Have you checked the list of patches to see if yours are in there? The Unshushable Coktor is on the list of author's, but says he hasn't submitted a patch, so perhaps the patches bmrzycki has down as TUC's are yours?Neverone wrote:I think I must have sent my patches in too late to participate this time.

Sorry about the wrong name in the list. For some reason I thought tom lyle was TUC, maybe the patch author name wasn't erased when editing a preset? I'll PM TUC with the names of the presets and he can examine them...

I didn't see any presets from you. It's possible gmail ate them (spam?). I checked my spam folder before posting to be sure but didn't see any in there.Neverone wrote:I think I must have sent my patches in too late to participate this time. Rats.
Sorry for the bad luck. Some people PM me and give me a link to a dropbox or box.net account to pull them from. So far I've never lost any of those...

Just gave a quick run-through the submitted patches. I am properly humbled. Kudos to the competition.
After the contest, should we create a bank collecting our "third patches" - the ones we almost submitted, but thought "I like it, but doubt anyone else will"? My favorite leftover was an FX patch that my kids love but serves virtually no musical / sound design purpose (that I could think of).

nice patches there.. well done, everyone!
it was very hard to find favorites with such a great range of sounds, but at last i chose the ones that i would most likely use in my own tracks.
1. (5 pts) cinematech
2. (4 pts) drone generator 01
3. (3 pts) the lament
4. (2 pts) something moist and plucked
5. (1 pts) wild one
and the patch that didn't make it to my top 5 but needs a honorable mention is "drumloop".. if it wasn't 4-to-the-floor it would be in the list.. but it still is a great idea!

i like the idea, too. but we should wait till after the voting because it might be possible to anticipate the author of sounds in the contest by comparing the "leftover" patches.hakey wrote:JoeCat wrote:After the contest, should we create a bank collecting our "third patches"
Yeah, good idea! And no need to wait till after the contest...

No problem. I've got a bit of bad email mojo, I reckon.bmrzycki wrote: I didn't see any presets from you. It's possible gmail ate them (spam?). I checked my spam folder before posting to be sure but didn't see any in there.

The real fun is in creating the patches and seeing how all the participants push these synths in such different directions.

The.... best patches ever made!
...in fact, some of them are so good that the didn't make it into this contest!
So yes, I'd say as well, that's best to wait till the voting stage is over.
