So the silver lining is that at least the old version appears to work fine in Lion, which is something I was worrying about.

already have a soundset i CAN'T use because it needs the beta.

Let's just say that being persistent can sometimes pay dividends - it did for me anyway, in a pretty similar situation to you.

seems like development on sylenth1 is over...? no news about the beta and Lion...
shame, some soundbanks i'd like to use, and of course updates and enhancements, bug fixes...all worthwhile.

love this synth, but am not gonna hold my breath for an update.

ah well, the wood is starting to rot on sylenth1's side panels (and there are soundbanks i now own and can't use).
at least everything runs well as is...
