Modular synths are very fun to play. It's interesting as an instrument, finding my voice with it took much more time than other synths I've used and assembling the "right" combination of modules was a big part of that journey. In that regard, choosing the Eurorack format might have made things more difficult because there are so many options available. On the other hand, what I've ended up with is a unique instrument that is very personal to me. It's weird, sometimes when I'm working on sounds, I'll have a hard time capturing the essence (for lack of a better word) of the patch once it's recorded. It's like the thing has a life that somehow can't be conveyed when played back. That doesn't matter much though, I just enjoy playing with sound for it's own sake. It's nice when I get stuff recorded, but I'm not nearly as concerned about finishing stuff anymore.

Sorry, if that was TMI... but man I love my synths!

Aww yeah, new 3am stuff, and so good, too! Minimal, indeed, compared to your other stuff, but the relative sparseness makes this a rather atmospheric trip. Through the unfinished, exotic part of town, too.

I like it very much!
