Looking forward to these...I think, this will save many clicksmutools wrote: Indeed M4 will have many more options. The MuDrum is a great new tool that allows for a complete drum mix inside the MuDrum, the MUX can have as many inputs and outputs as you want and the Multisampler also has multiple outs. To name a few things.
Would be fine, if you could make this as well...Your stuff sounds very good, but it is still nothing for watching at... at least level meters in the Mux (especially for compressor/limiters) and readout values for the meters in MuLab would be very very welcome...I agree, am fully aware of that. In fact custom MUX Play Editors is one of the remaining big points on the M4 R&D list. It's not yet sure it will make it as i'm running out of time. Hopefully M4, otherwise a later version.
Miniature snapshots would bring nothing new except being more fancy...I think pasting the modules in full size on the hide area is not really comfortable. Atoh you trigger these ideas:
* The Hidden Windows Dock buttons could show a miniature snapshot of the window content.
* The Hidden Windows Dock could use buttons that are as width as their window, proportionally.
* The Hidden Windows Dock could get a dividor so you can tweak the height of it as you please.
* The Hidden Windows Dock could be scrollable. But then without scrollbars? Otherwise it will look to bloated, no?
It has to be something useable... The advantage of this idea should be, to be able to use the parameters (at least the most important) directly...a rack should give the user at least an adjustable level and pan knob, a multifilter cutoff, Q and mod depth...
And it should have at least 2 views...one minimized (to save space if not needed) and one expanded, to make it useable...
But, after all: the GUI tuning of the modules like discussed above is much more important. Perhaps this hidden dock tuning will be redundant after the M4 update...
About the demo song: it will be much less than 5MB... I am just talking about some drumsamples used in the song, in ogg format less than 2 MB.
And now go back to work to bring M4 in our lifes!!!!
