sorry guys u r right ...i'll bring my ideological war against preset users somewhere else :)

and to be fair sounds like yazoo don't go, although they take 2 seconds to get close too, they are not easy at all to nail 100% if anything cos of the recording techniques used at the time (daniel miller recorded out of amps for extra crunch going to tape)

anyway lets hope for some arp2600 and pro-one modules...i want more modules not more presets ;P

The first ARP 2600 had a Moog clone filter which is why they had to replace it AFAIK. Of course the complete synth sounds different to the comparable Moogs.

I'll try to do a few ARP 2600 sounds (at least those who are possible) later with Diva using my beloved Way Out Ware TimewARP 2600 for comparison.

From what I've read, though the 4012 (Arp2600) and 4035 (Odyssey) filters were based upon a transistor ladder design, thus infringing Moog's patent, they weren't Moog clones.

"altough its a ladder, its not built with manually paired discrete transistors as minimoogs or 900 modulars, but with a replacement in form of CA3086 transistor array chips i.e. pre-made pairs. these do lend a specific type of ladder sound. its very liquid, more open in the highs than minimoog, but not as humongous in the low range. at least that's how it seemed to me. phenomenal self oscillator sound, maybe most beautiful ive heard."

I would love a version of my three favourite 80s synth sounds.

Depeche Mode- Just Cant Get Enough

Visage - Fade To Grey (Although I tried this with 2 detuned saw waves on Zebra and it sounded fairly close)

OMD - Enola Gay

I've been on a Simon Posford kick, so I would be very excited to see some Hallucenogen like TB sounds. I think a lot of that was actually done on an MS-20, conveniently. Original hardware aside, acid sounds. And Shpongle like splat, blops and vocally sounds.

couldn't use Diva last night on my netbook ...i'm giving it a go now and i guess u r right cos using the diva moog filter it gets that right fuzzy tone.

if it's not a moog filter in the arp2600 its defenetly something very similar.

wasnt sure what part of enola gay you wanted so did these:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/lisa.milli ... la_gay.mp3
also did JCGE lead, presets here
http://www.box.com/s/a52a5skkhvls5kog9u2h

all made from memory, so prob not super close, but close enough for you to tweak to suit.

OK, here's one to keep the teenager in me happy. The Mini solo in The Trees by Rush 1:47-2:47.
When all else fails, read the instruction manual.

FK! Should be 1:47-2:17

i guess i will do some trance/EDM presets for diva.
no remakes just try something out - and atm i feel diva is really great for sub basslines and also for some mid or maybe some short highbasslines u hear really often in trance - i'll make a video.

thx urs for this amazing tip with the eco!

imo yh we should just fiddle around with the synths and dont try any remakes of any wellknown sound ...

let u inspire from this virgin synth :D

Yes, that's right. It's mainly the FM that's "dirtying up" the Yazoo sound, and the Arp 2600 is particularly nice for that sort of thing. Here's my take on the sound for Diva anyway. It's much of the way there and at least a better attempt than the (incorrectly assumed ) Pro One can probably manage. ;)

This example still requires WAY more "FM grit". It seems to be difficult to add more in Diva without turning it into noise rather than the "grainy/gritty" quality you'd want from the oscillators. If someone has some suggestions (for how to add grain/gritty dirt better) then feel free to take a look and let us know.. ;)

Updated in later post :)
