Wrt the Close-Quit topic:

I've made a try-out version where the latest idea has been implemented.
It's available as a Windows .exe patch here: http://www.mutools.com/mulab/temp1485

So when closing the last session, you'll get Save before quit - Quit without Save - Cancel. For all other sessions it's Save before Close - Close without Save - Cancel.

For me this feels good.
