I'd like to give Padshop another chance now that sample import is in. But no demo available? I don't want buy blindly just based on a few videos, that doesn't make sense

For those of us who bought v. 6.5, it looks like the upgrade is just $10 USD or $35 including the Zero Gravity sound pack.

The ZG sound pack is listed on their site for $30 on its own, so the full Pro version is just another $5.

Not too bad. Not essential for me, but i'll probably bite.

Hurray for commodity software pricing!! Sample-import for a tenner? Yes please.

I wish Prologue as well as the others would go on sale for other DAWS, too!!!! :x

I'd like to give retrologue a go, it reminds me of the Korg Mono/poly a little but I've yet to try it.

How? I can't find any demo links on the Steinberg site. You do?

Would those licenses work with their USB-dongle or are they challenge/response only?

They are Soft-eLicences (SeL) so you can either choose to save them to your HD or load them to the Steinberg Key. If your HD crashes or you re-format it you have to ask Steinberg for a new one using the MySteinberg site (can't back it up), so I prefer to store them to my Steinberg key anyway....

You guys all bought -or going to- without even trying it first? I must be abnormal asking for a demo :P

The Specs say Win 7 for Retrologue. Anyone got it running on Win XP? (32 Bit?). :)

Well Rob Lee said he's having fun and he's programmed a lot of synths plus there are a number of people who are used to synths who've said it's good.

+ all other Cubase synths are decent

I'd prefer that, too!
Thanks for the reply, I didn't think this was possible - now I might consider spending some money at Steinberg's again... ah, we'll see...

Looks like on Mac it is just VST3 and AU, there is a VST2 version for Windows though so why not Mac too?
