Here is a patch I'm working on, you can rescale, play one fingered chords and play an arp and output to another track. The Aux area will be for synths once i buy MUX and get rid of the demo noise :) I will be wrapping some synths into this that I use a lot with arps, especially ones that have none of their own like Diva. Anyhow, this would take 4 tracks in Studio One otherwise, and require you to arm each for monitoring/recording, and if you touch any other track it would disarm everything else (ugh!). If you use a control surface every time you move anything it would disarm your tracks. This is a great solution! Also the GUI for Scale Changer in Studio One is poor and this improves that as well.

I'm hoping to see some buttons in the future for the GUI, even some drop menus would be great as changing the program in Scale Changer is a little twiddly. And it would be nice to be able to make a dedicated disable button for the plugins.

This is not that practical but you can right click the event input cable leading to the VST and choose Edit Properties.
it will give you a Mute floating dialog. You can not rename it but for a mini job it can be useful. Put it anywhere but it will close when you close the MUX top panel. It's good while experimenting and designing so you can toggle things.

I'm sure buttons will eventually appear....

Thanks, I have a feeling alt-click will work better for me, just takes two hands. Maybe I can get a new mouse that I can assign Alt to, it would come in handy way beyond MUX as well.

There is a shortcut "Toggle Process ON/OFF". As usual shortcuts work with both types of keyboards, the ones with letters/numbers and the ones with black/white keys :) Assign what fits you most.

The only thing to keep in mind is, the module you want to on/off has to be in focus.
It works nice when you click a rack slot. Works well when you click a button in the play editor. The opened module/vst will be switched on/off.

I hope this helps

Thanks for the tip, but I just want to turn off or on from the top level interface without opening anything, so like one button click is what im after. I really think a mouse macro button to do a alt-click will work, im needing a better mouse soon anyhow.

Nice!

see there are hosts with routing limitations... mux could use a separate midi patch plugin if you ask me. maybe an audio one too... that way it would be compatible with any and all hosts stricken with limitations.

How would that work exactly? i think MUX as it is solves the issues with Studio One's routing.
