Well, for my own track in this case I would ask a ME to fix any errant EQ issues first of all. I'd also suggest that he levels out any big jumps in level, and to get it up to a commercial volume. I certainly wouldn't expect a track like this to be pumped to the max. Finally, i'd ask him to attempt to sprinkle it with that professional sheen that (in my opinion) only a good quality compressor and EQ can provide.

My original inspiration for creating it was a track by Hybrid called 'Just For Today'. Which I know it's a long way from

This is converted from my wav master to sound cloud so it is not as good as the WAV file download below don't have media fire but zippyshare works free click orange download button.

Only did One But I think it's all of the above. Keep in mind if you go louder more in your face with this is starts to distort also this mp3 is not a very good format to start with so an original wav file would yield much better results.

I can't listen to this on my speakers now as it's too late, so I'll grab a listen tomorrow, but... the original file you downloaded was a 44/24 Wav. SC only streams in mp3, when you download you'll get the format I uploaded in.

Well, I've got some files to share, but I don't want to upload them to my soundcloud because I don't want to use up my download count.

What do you guys recommend?

Soundclick streams at better quality than SC and is free (it allows downloads too), or you could just setup up another temp free SC account for now.

I like zippyshare music files stay on the server for a long time it seems. LOoks like I got some competition I don't mind helping with a good server would like to compare to yours.

How about I open a new soundcloud and you all share it in the group? At least that way there is one place for everything and it is clearly labelled.

I listened to your version.

I am going to act as though I am the customer:

1) I really like the whack this gave the kick. +1

2) I didn't think you handled the strings very well, they overpower the mix at some points and need hemming in a little because they start to blare out of the speakers. -1

3) The percussion is a little dull and gets lost in the mix. -1

4) It is loud though +1

Please tell us what you did.

Cool. Can't wait to see what a professional does with this.

Yes I downloaded the wave file from zippy. If you upload the wavefile to soundcloud then when we download it from soundcloud it will be the exact same wave file you uploaded. Its only if someone plays it from soundcloud that the sound quality is degraded, not if they download it.
