I wouldn't go on gearslutz on ipod if it wasn't for their app, tried going on gearslutz thru safari.. nightmare. forum apps are very useful just amazingwasi wrote:It just needs a mobile version. Apps cost a ton to make and offer little over a decent designed-for-mobile website. It's something Apple made us believe was necessary so they could monopolize the supply chain, but it offers nothing to the consumer except having to use another application just because he happens to want to surf over to the KVR forums. THen there's tapatalk for others, this for that. It's not worth the hassle.
Check out the renoise forums on mobile for an example. Same look and feel as the big one, but mobile optimized. That's how it should be.
Main Computer Specs: MacBook M1 Max, 32GB, 4TB, Cubase 13.

OK found it. Seems quite effective but limited. Nice and clear layout but really needs more features like recent posts, latest posts, search etc. A start though and cool that it doesn't seem to need the forum to install any plugins.

Yes, definitely needs improvements. Not bad for free though. Makes reading and replying easy without having to zoom in and out.aMUSEd wrote:OK found it. Seems quite effective but limited. Interesting! Is this the best forum app that will work with the ipad? Is there a better forum app, even if it requires a purchase?koushks wrote:Yes, definitely needs improvements. I personally haven't had a problem with it either, but I always try to keep an open mind when it comes to things that allow me to work smarter, quicker, or easier.J.C wrote:IMHO opinion, surfing the KVR Forum on an iPad is not an issue AT ALL. On iPhone it's a different story....
Thanks for the link to the Forum App btw!

No - Tapatalk is the best forum app in general. But afaik this is the only one that works with KvR, but at the expense of a lot of functionality that Tapatalk (or using Safari) has.audiojunkie wrote:Interesting! Personally I find it quite hard compared to the slick experience I get with Tapatalk. I have to do a lot of zooming around and am always clicking on the wrong thing - too many things to touch it's hard to avoid them and scroll as well.J.C wrote:IMHO opinion, surfing the KVR Forum on an iPad is not an issue AT ALL.
