I'm getting some flaky behavior with JamVOX from VOX/Korg. I'm using the latest version 3.0.2 of JV.

When I open an edit that was working fine earlier, I get an error that the JamVOX plug is defective. Then I delete and reload the plug and it works fine.

I've also noticed a few times that JamVOX will load up fine when I reload the edit, but it will not sound. If I go the the settings audio tab and hit the test button, the plug than operates fine.

Both of these problems occur when I first launch Tracktion.

I'm using Windows XP Home with SP3 and Tracktion 4050.

This has been fixed in Tracktion 4116! Perfect

I've started testing all my plugs and I'm curious if anyone has a better system for testing plugs?

Here's what I do:

For VSTi, I have a small loop that I've recorded. I play it to make sure that it sounds. Then I render the loop to make sure that the plug will render properly.

For VSTe, I'll use a loop and apply the processor. I'll run the same tests as above.

If it crashes, you can look at your log file, if it crashed because of a plugin, then post the name of it.

The latest version of Rapture (Version 1.2) from Cakewalk runs and plays OK. It just seems to take T a very long while to develop the waveform so that you can view and audition it under projects exported audio/midi.

This errant behavior has been fixed in T4116.

Valhallaroom reverb is a problem when rendering or moving from project to project. I believe TSC is aware.

Just rendered a project using Tracktion sends/receives with Valhallaroom reverb without issue.

Waves V9 plugins seem to work for me with 4.1.13, as does Slate Virtual Tape Machines. Thanks!

IK Multimedia CSR plugins (version prior to Custom Shop) are still not loading. In fact, they're not even in the plugin list after the scan (neither among the successful nor the failed ones).

I'm also getting a lot of crashes when opening/editing/closing plugins within a project, especially if I do this during playback.

Did not check if already reported but z3ta+ from Cakewalk (12Tone?)will crash T4114 the moment you change a preset while T is playing a midi loop using z3ta+. Fixed in 4116.

Analog Factory 2.2.1 demo will not sound, record or render. It seems to be the latest demo even though they advertise version 2.5.1 for Windows??? FIxed in 4116

Although Valhallaroom reverb will now work with T4115, I have discovered that it will introduce distortion to a rendered clip.

This is repeatable. I used z3ta+ (any vsti) and recorded a 3 minute midi test clip. I rendered the clip using Tracktion 4115 send/receive and Valhallaroom (default pre) reverb. When I auditioned the clip it was distorted.

This problem still exists in T4116

I replaced Valhallaroom reverb on the receive track with CSR Hall, again, rendered the test clip and the distortion was gone.
