How can i split frequencies between being mono and stereo?

I got the ideal solution for splitting the frequencies during the mastering stage. I used ozone izotope 4 and enabled the harmonic exciter. Next i switched it from stereo mode, to mid/side mode, allowing me to adjust my basses in the mid section and my highs in the side section, which is a cool way of splitting the frequencies and exciting at the same time
