Sorry, hehe, the stalls aren't deliberate. However, it didn't help that Sascha, Clemens and myself hat holidays booked right in the time when the already delayed releases would have happened - they were booked in a time when we thought it was safe to go. I'm posting this from a hotel in Spain. Once I'm back (next week) I'm confident we'll see a lot of progress on releases.

All you want something buggy, not ready... and then start to complain about problems? :nutter:
It would be really nice to play with that arp/seq.
Give us a beta to play with and let us give input as part of the process.......please.

Unfortunately there's no guarrantee that the sequences you do with the current version will still work in the final. The sequencer is work in progress. If we released it now, no matter how clear we say this, if the sequencer format changes than many people will be pissed off. Hence no public beta until the preset format for the seq is set in stone.

I think we should all just wish Urs a happy week in spain.

As someone said earlier in the thread, it's just silly to ask for some beta or something- what for? Either it's not stable or it's lacking functionality intended for the release version and both scenarios will be exactly like he said- people will complain etc.

I'm in the software business myself so I know this from experience, regardless how much the customer say "We only want a developer release so we can XYZ" and then the next thing you know you got the entire JIRA full with bugreports (which 70% of the time is due to the functionality not being ready and 28% due to we haven't had time but would discover our own as soon as the product been in through our testlabs, and then finally 2% which are actual bugs that we most likely wouldn't have found before the release- but the problem is that even if those 2% would be useful our schedule is pushed far back by the other 98% reported- you can't just close an issue until you investigated it. and so on, better wait for a public beta if you want to be helpful.)

If you just want to toy around, go buy a bucket of lego.

I don't think I said I want to toy around, I really want to do some serious experimenting with the arp and sequencer.
I am trying to keep myself from spending more money by buying the Spire synth which has a great arp/seq.
So I am holding out for the Diva upgrade, but getting more and more tempted to spend the $100.00 I don't have.
I really am into the berlin old school music which use so much of the sequencers. Nough said, I will wait very impatiently for this major upgrade of Diva.

When I am not playing with Zebra 2 and Diva, I find ways to pass the time while I wait for the upgrades...Z III set Free in 2014!

im suprised that after coding diva they didnt ascend to another plane of existence so i think we're pretty lucky.
