Thank you!

I noticed, we don't have something! Nooo!!! :D :D Ok, what is it exactly? P&M has about gazillion plugins, which look exactly the same so it's hard to guess :D

I was talking of P&M Clarisonix. I don't really know what it does, maybe it is just a resonant HPF used to boost bass? Nomad Factory COSMOS works very similar.

Also something like Waves RBass and MaxxBass, these are psychoacoustic bass enhancers, is missing in your arsenal, isn't it?

Post

Not at all! MMultiBandSaturator! Bass enhancer active preset ;).

Basically this just saturates low frequencies...

Ah, cool! Gotta try that. It wasn't clear to me that this is "hiding" behind the Saturator.

If you want to get the EDM Kids, you can make a copy of that plugin an name it "Giant Bass Enhancer" :D

It'd be cool if the filter of the MMBDelay had a few more modes like one finds them in MWobbler.

Still use Timeless of Fabfilter for that/their implementation. I love it when it screams.

CableChannel: You are probably right, but you know, having a dedicated plugin just for a tiny single special case of other plugin is kind of "nonideal" :).

elassi: What modes are you talking about? And why don't you simply use MWobbler??

I have to agree with most in this topic,
I have the Mtotalbundle and Mdrummer for a few years and slowly but surely they have been taking over my production setup to the point I have started selling my waves plugin's, something I never though would happen.
It took me a while to get used to working with them but now knowing my way around them, the ease of use and quality is second to none.
I still use a few Vst emulation plugin because of the character they can give to certain sounds but for mixing and production, it is a Melda plugin that I turn to first.

I have fallen in love with MDynamicsEq  I want to put it everywhere :D .

Will have to try out the MMultiBandSaturator, Bass enhancer active preset, its something I wasn't aware of either :tu:

The great about this forum is that in reading the posts you can learn a lot about the innerworkings of the plugin, what they can do and how to do it.

Big up Vojtech on your input on the forum, if it wasn't for it, I'm not sure I would of got the full benefit of your plugs. :tu:

a) I.e. filter types with more aggressive sound, or a comb, or... opens more options for creative use of the delay.

b) Yes, that's what I do. Route the 100% wet delay signal through MWobbler. But it starts to become complicate when you just want a single of multiple bands to be filtered* that way. Eventually it leads to the need of 2xdelay plus 1xwobbler.

Edit: *for the sake of being fair: you can't do this with Timeless either as it doesn't provide multiple bands option. But this is MMB and the requested blocks are there, aren't they?

Post

Hehe, well, I was thinking about MMultiBandWobbler :D ;).

Another one for the "Melda does not have X... Yes it has!" collection:

I thought there is missing a bit reduction / rate reduction plugin.

But it's there. Once you know that Melda plugins contain not a single but a bunch of funcionalities you get the idea. Where to look for bitcrushing -> MMBDistortion. And yep, it's there.

BTW is there a difference between bit reduction and bit crushing?

Anihilator is a bit odd, it seems to do nothing (can't hear any difference).

Post

Hehe :D. Sure it's there :D. There's probably no difference between bit reduction and bit crushing, but while bit reduction is pretty much defined term, bit crushing may actually mean just about anything, that does something bad to the bits :D.

Anihilator really works only on some signals from what I know. Or in combination with other sadistic instruments ;)
