Well, there's quite powerful arpeggiator in the MPowerSynth (yeah, we got a name now!
). Not like a virtual bassist of course...

So Maybe after MpowerSynth, Mbassist With the same arpegiator (with some preset bass oriented) and at least one versatile bass sampled (fingered and picked).
And eventually midi out for to use Kontakt per eg...
If you need Sample from good bass for free let me know

Yet a few years after, any news?
To be honnest, there is already a load of synth and sounds existing, but a Mbassist working like Mdrummer? What a game changer it would be! I'd love to draft a bass pattern and have the tool elaborate all the riffs accordingly.

That would be the hypothetical combo of MBassist, also hypothetical, and MDrummer. That was not intended to be serious. But a bass guitar plug-in that was aware of what the kick drum was doing would be useful. MBassist would know what MDrummer was doing and create a single pitch baseline pattern that could be triggered by midi notes like MDrummer beats, fills, intros and outros. The user could then change the pitch of the notes to meet their needs or use a snap to scale function.

As a bass player I'd be more interested in MRestOfTheBand, particularly if there were Reliability and Ego controls, and maybe a toggle for Singer's Ex That Still Comes Around and Makes Things Awkward.
