What album do you have most copies of in your collection?

I'm glad I'm not one of those collectors who need a copy of every possible pressing of an album.

I remember I saw on TV a guy from Oslo who had collected dozens of pressings of each Pink Floyd album, probably had devoted a lot of his life and money on it up until that point, but now he was selling it all second-hand because he was moving in with a woman, and she had obviously told him that the vinyl didn't

I dont think I do either...however if you change it to "what album have you had the most copies of" then "Get Yer Yah's Yah's out" by The Rolling Stones wins. I wore the vinyl versions on a regular basis as a kid, I have had it several times on cassette, more on 8-track...but only one CD

There was that weird time in the late 80s where I generally bought vinyl except things I really liked/wanted that I got on CD (twice the price). Often bought something on vinyl that turned out to be really good so ended up with CD too (Husker Du's 'Warehouse Songs and Stories' for instance)

But that's about it, maybe a couple of ltd Low double vinyls with engraved fourth sides or something...

So have 3 copies of Can's Future Days - LP, CD and SACD and 2 of a few other can albums

3 copies of Heart of the Congos by the Congo's - original mix, go feet mix and cd - I have owned 4 additional copies of the original mix now (out of 300 pressed) but have always sold them on.

3 Super Ape's too - vinyl, CD and remastered CD with bonus goodies.

There is more but I think I might start to feel a bit stupid when I think about it

I have two of The Man Machine by Kraftwerk (cd I bought something like ten years ago, then the remastered vynil I received as a gift last year), two copies of Those Things by Miguel Migs (I bought the first version on Salted Records, then I bought the deluxe version on Hed Kandi) and two copies of Guilty by De Souza feat Shena (this is a single, I bought a promo copy and then the regular version).

I think I have no other double records (I don't like spending twice on the same item!)... but don't even get me started on tracks repeated across different compilations! I have the same version of song "It's over" by Jamie Lewis & Michael Watford on 4 different cds, and "The Kinda Love" by AC Soul Symphony on 3 compilation plus the vynil... and probably there are others. I hate when this happens...

several earache and peaceville releases i repurchased on cd when i didnt have access to a turntable, although i listen to the cds just cant bring myself to get rid of the vinyl as the covers are so beautiful in a gory way.
spiritualized - ladies and gentlemen. .. single cd which i listen to and the multi cd release pill packet which remains unopened.
ozrics first 6 tapes which i then bought the boxset of on cd before it got taken off the shelves when kelloggs got pissed off.
few pink floyd bits that where inherited on vinyl but already had on cd

I have three copies of most of the King Crimson albums from ITCOTCK until TOAPP. Vinyl, Definitive Edition remasters ('89) on CD and the 30th Anniversary remasters ('99-'01).

I sold my first couple of albums on CD. I made just a little bit more than duplication/printing/shipping costs but I still have a couple dozen copies of teh second one in a crate somewhere.

i dont even have a tape player or turntable anymore.

I have 3 copies: 2 vinyls (1973 and 1988) and the remastered "Dark side of the moon" cd edition. They're gifts, though.
The only album I've bought two times is "Off The Wall" by Michael Jackson because someone stole my first copy during a party...

I've bought a few copies, but I'm not sure I still have them all. I had the LP from the 70's, and I've purchased the CD a few times. Thankfully, Spotify now has all the various editions, as well as a few "tribute" versions which I also find interesting (Dub Side of the Moon being my favorite).

I have 3 (had 4 at the most) copies, vinyl bought in '87, tape I picked up at the salvation army, reissue CD (which I passed on to an eager fan), and also as part of a CD compilation set.
