I don't think I have been confusing anything here.
It's normal to discuss these things, but in my opinion relying on name calling etc because you think your analog synth is so much better than someones softsynth (goes to opposite way too) is not.
I enjoy good discussion but often things get really heated and we see proofs of this once in a while when threads get locked.

Yes, but that goes to my first point that on a forum with so many members from disparate backgrounds, some will always find things to argue about. It isn't the exclusive domain of comparison topics.

Yes it happens outside of comparison topics too, but I think they are very prone to that kind of behavior and that is why I used them as an example. I might have explained myself a little bit better but it's not so easy because English is not my native language and I also have some cognitive problems. But that is another story.
Anyways, whatever the reasons are for name calling and all that, I just wish it would end.
I know that it's unrealistic to expect everyone to be kind towards each other but one can always dream, right?
All this bickering I have observed here sometimes makes me wonder whether I should spend my time here in the first place.

I have synthmaster, Spire and Serum and I plan to buy Dune 2 and Hive later. I say that synths doesn't get you girls, the trick is to get a girl to get you the synths.

Girls like guitar players better..
