They still haven't replied to me on this and I've seen nothing about it in their forums. These websites are all related somehow, but I doubt they'll do much unless each of us complains--loudly.

And whatever you do, watch where you click on those sites. You can inadvertently install something just by playing your own song from the link!

Here's some of my stuff: https://soundcloud.com/shadowsoflife. If you hear something you like, I'm looking for collaborators.

Damn it, my account with 2300+ tracks is there too, I just wrote the SC Premium support to take action.

Yes, yes, yes - this isn't the first time it has happened. And take this as you will - either for good or for bad - but it happens to everyone and anyone who uploads to Soundcloud.

I've tried fighting it before too as there was another site that had my entire library of music available for free download, but here's the thing: Soundcloud uses flash player. It's an unsecure platform for hosting media. You can easily find soundcloud or youtube downloaders all over the web with a simple google search. How hard would it be to set up a bot net to download recent uploads to soundcloud. I'll give this site props as it seems to data mine some information as well and make it look a bit more professional. But just like uploading a track to soundcloud, it probably snags the profile photo associated with the uploaded track.

The best you can hope for is contacting the author to take it down - they probably won't, but it doesn't hurt to find and ask. The one I tried fighting could only be contacted via their facebook page. So you may need to go there to get in contact with them.
On the other hand, don't take it as such an honor that your music is worth pirating, as I mentioned, everyone else is up there too (such as myself) The thing is: Google pushes the most viewed and attended pages to the top - so long as you, the original author - continue to active views and listeners frequenting your stuff, your links will always be at the top of the google search. The link you provided is now getting more attention for your artist name and may push it to the top of a search. The best thing you can do is ignore.
On the other hand, you can always go the route of the poor artist who realizes his music isn't making him money and just offer it as "free or pay what you want" as I did. At this point, if - for whatever reason, god forbid - some person actually does want to download my music, they now have legal means of doing it.

My suggestion:
Ignore the site, remove the link to your "illegal" profile and move on.

EDIT:
Also I would like to mention to those (and the OP) who wish to get their music taken down: Remember, there are a bunch of sites out there doing this. Fighting one is nothing. I can promise you the persons who run the site probably own other domains that function similarly as well. Taking down your stuff on one of their sites just means it's going to pop up on 2 of their other sites. It's a downhill battle. Going back to my suggestion in the post:
Ignore the site, remove the link to your "illegal" profile and move on.

You probably don't want to be giving scammers and spammers your e-mail address either.

But the other site makes downloads possible, even if you don't allow it on soundcloud.

I know that there are enough possibilities to rip music from soundcloud but it still violates copyright laws, I guess. We should care about this.

Any other opinions?

Ah didn't realize that. Annoying indeed.

EDIT: And I should clarify. The "do I" care bit was purely about me personally. I can definitely see how others would.

That's the point, although most people rip the stuff anyway if it's not for download. Anyway, SC must take action themselves and I'll nag them until the lights go out.

you can disable "enable app playback" and "Display embed code". that will prevent other sites using your tracks.

using the new batch edit on the tracks page makes it easier.

That's interesting, because I still haven't heard back from SC from when I contacted them about this on Sunday night.

But who knows how many other domains and web sites are out there, doing the same thing?

I can still reach the site but it's empty, like a ghost website.
