Now you've been using Studio One for 3 days, and you're happy to report it's bug free, in your setup.

That's smashing. Good luck, and enjoy Studio One. Let us know if you're still using it in 2026, bug free.

Why be a dick chico? He's not allowed to give his 2 cents?

Nah, not really. Just when you see the same names posting negatively over and over again, which takes all the joy out of it for me.

Sure he is. He's given his two cents over and over again.

I'm into trying to make things better, and get worn out by people moaning, and not helping make things better. If that makes me a dick, fine.

If you really want to know, if you're happy using Studio One, or whatever else, that's totally smashing. Off you pop and use it. Go make music. Enjoy yourself. I don't get the need to go "Well, i've had enough of this, it's just bug after bug after bug, can't believe I stuck it out for ten years, I'm off to this OTHER daw, that's loads better, so there"

Great. Off you pop, go and enjoy yourself. You won't see me over on the Studio One forum going "Well, i JUST DON'T GET ON WITH THIS PROGRAM, i like tracktion. I don't know WHY i'm persisting with this, when I could be using tracktion instead. It's just NOT FOR ME"

Just go and do something that makes you happy. If it's not being here, don't be here.
If you want to help make this better, and help out folk who're struggling with it, that's also smashing.

If you want to moan and moan and moan and moan and moan, sorry, I'll be a dick.

Does that help?

No i havent. This has been your stock retort to anyone who opens their gob with a critique of this programme.
And its not moaning. i paid money, supported the product and am entitled to a view.
What i have done is come on this forum and look for solutions to ongoing problems.
Most notably the insane graphics problems when using plug ins.
Not one reply.
Waves issues. Not one reply. Oh its Waves fault being in a wrapper is it? Well it works on S1.
Oh its my graphics card is it? Well guess what?
I have read others being fobbed off with graphics cards being at fault or Waves being blamed.
My alternative was to try a new prog and guess what, all the issues in T are NOT shown in the alternative.
I dont like wasting time on goose chases, when the prog itself seems incapable of running stuff that i want to use, or work the way it should. I'm not the programmer, i'm the musician.
There is a sort of cabale on here that sweeps to Ts defence at every glimmer of an issue, and seeks to throw it back in the users face. Obviously some great contributors trying to help out, but it seems to me right now its against a backdrop of one or two bolts needing a tighten.
I've been here a long time and its getting more noticeable. T is a bit ramshackle at the moment.
Its not moaning, its stating a fact.

You know what Chico...here's an apology for my "dick" statement...that was harsh BUT... I disagree with you. I'm not a newb here...I've been creeping on here since around mid 2006. If his "negativity" upset you then you are way too sensitive. He stated his case without vitriol. I don't want people to just move on and not explain why. If I was new to Tracktion...I'd want to know of any issues regardless of how cheap the price tag is or how loyal the remaining fan base is because it's more than just a casual money dump. To me it's hours and hours and hours for years wanting a product to work in a professional environment not just in my bedroom. Should I expect that from a $50 product...probably not but then don't advertise it as such. I love this product and I'm sticking with it (going on about 7 years) but I will not get butt hurt when others stomp their feet about it crapping out occasionally. I want to know so I don't get into their situations while sitting with a client. That's embarrassing...especially when everyone plus their grandmom says you have to use ProTools. LOL
Once again...sorry for the name calling. very unlike me. Coffee hadn't kick in or something.. : )

I'm really not sensitive. I told you I find it depressing when people moan, but don't get involved in helping fix things. You can disbelieve me if you like, but that's my reason for posting.

I've no problem with people going "this is broken", and then getting to the bottom of fixing it. It's the moaning I can't be f**ked with. Like someone deliberately put a bug in a program, just to piss you off. Again. They didn't.

Out of curiosity, what have you learnt, from people moaning, that you took into a client session, that helped you out? Personally I can't think of anything.

I'm very up for people going "this is broken", it's how it's said, is all. I say things are broken. Most things I've said were broken are fixed. Weird that.

Except tempo mapping. Thats still broken. Still can't get that to work at all...

Does studio one do tempo mapping? I might buy that, join the forum over there and go "awww, why does this STILL not have edit clips? Grey! Why's it so grey?? And it STILL doesn't even support VSTs if you buy the cheap version, and I even already posted that it doesn't!! And it still doesn't! I'm not moaning, just telling it like it is... I'M NOT MOANING, I JUST SOUND MOANY WHEN I TYPE"

OK, Chico, I think we've all got the message by now. No need to repeat ad nauseam…

I seem to recall tipping you off to a cheapo deal on T Racks in the dim and distant past.
Some actual helping there.
Whereas all i get from you is sneering and confused ranting.

No loss here.

Okay, apologies. That was meant to be more tongue in cheek than it ended up sounding. Maybe my self awareness is a bit off today. I'm definitely knackered, and need a decent sleep.

It wasn't mean to be sneering, but like blokey says, i've gone over this enough already. Cheers for the T Racks heads up, pretty sure I bought that, and still can't fecking use it properly. Never enough time these days to play.

No worries. I quite enjoy the odd "debate" anyhoo.
I dont mean to come across as a whiney twat, but after days of turning my kit upside down to make stuff work, monitors cables, re-installs, it often feels like i need to kick someones arse for seemingly wasting my time.
Im a T fan and always will be, its just not quite clicking for me right now.

Peace and out.

Fair play. There's a good chance i'm mixing you up with someone else, tbh, the way my day's going... if so, apologies

Beginning to wish i'd never started this ... :(
