I already read that (on page 15) and knew how to do it anyway. It still didn't answer my specific question about routing as per my screenshot above (which Evildragon answered).

I have the manul printed and bound and have read it back to back on more than one occasion! :)

So it's XMF-specific. Page 37 (might be page 38 in yours, tehlord)

"FilterFM
For audio-rate cutoff modulation from the XMF’s second input. By default, the FM source is the same as the input signal, but using a different FM source can be highly rewarding: right-click on the [XMF] cell to change the sidechain input to another lane – and put something in that lane!"

However: I agree that it's easily missed there, so I'm thinking about adding a bit of module-specific info to the section about the main grid.

I thought the OP wanted to mix the audio of both oscillators through a single filter on a different lane, so this won't work, right? As far as I know, the side chain input of an XMF doesn't route the audio from an oscillator through the filter. It allows the side chain signal to modulate the filter.
THis is what i dont understand...What is the difference between sidechain and input into a filter......plus on page 15 of the manual it says this
In this example, both OSC1 and OSC2 flow into XMF1 (a filter). The XMF1 output is
then mixed with (not processed by!) OSC3, and sent further down lane 1. OSC4 modulates
XMF1 cutoff, and OSC4 is also available as unprocessed signal in Lane 2.
how is osc4 "modulating" a filter cutoff....is that with the sidechain?

regarding the 2 osc in 2 different lanes...into one filter...so thats only available in xmf......but can you have just both the unprocessed signals into that xmf? or one has to be sidechained signal and only one can be th e "input"...then right?

what is the difference between SAME and input 1, i dont get that......

My understanding is that it's not. It's Filter FM that's being modulated by the sidechain input, not cutoff.

And as far as I understand it 'same' means the same as input 1 if both modules are in lane 1

@tehlord: "Filter FM" is just cutoff modulation at audio rate. The sidechain input does indeed modulate cutoff.
