Hi, it's my first post here in the Mutools forum
I always thought that Mux is simply unique and amazing especially all parameters edit functions give a fantastic workflow but I was really impressed this time for all the new features and i love the new focused parameter editor in the VST editor never seen anything like that elsewhere, the last time I tested Mux goes back to last year and I missed many things and I am sure that the surprises are not over,It has always been on my wishlist but now I have no more excuses to delay and it's time to remove it from the list and put it at the top of my tools.
I really appreciate your great work and I'm thinking seriously that MuLab will the next step for me :)

thanks and certainly as I said mulab will definitely my next step :tu:
I preferred to start with mux because it was a long time on my wish list but these days I'm alternating mulab free to my daw because with mulab I rediscovered the pleasure of making music!
and it will take me a while to get used to the change, but also for this I have to thank jo, it is really generous to provide a free version.

I'm having a problem with Mux modular plug-in I do not know if it happens only to me, the mouse wheel does not work on the front panel but works in the modular area this seems to happen only with the VST version, I tried in mulab both version.
is there any option in the preferences that I have to set?

Post

Works fine here, using MUX Modular VST. What system? Which host? Are you in front panel editing mode?

Post

sorry I forget the details ok I tried again in reaper, mulab an flstudio on Windows 7 32bit,I am not in editing mode I'm working in normal mode ,the problem occurs only with mulab and FLStudio and only with mux vst version.

edit: I did another test with vsthost and I have the same problem.

Ok i see what you mean. The next MUX Modular 6.5.30 should fix this. More specific: IF the mouse wheel doesn't immediately work then just click the knob/slider and then it will work. It's about the (child) window that must take focus if the hosts didn't give it yet.

Related to this: Some other users sometimes reported that VST plugins in MuLab were not receiving key press or mouse wheel events. Maybe the next version will make a difference also on that aspect. Pls let me know whether it does or does not once you're using the next M6.5.30. Thanks.

Ok thanks :tu:

Entering Note Names... PLEASE let [return] confirm the note name change and not freaking cancel it. I thought, at some point I will get used to it, but that brainwashing just won't stick. In my world, as in most of the known computer world [return] or [enter] means to enter something, to confirm that it is exactly what you want. Maybe [escape] is a convention for canceling something, but it never ever is [return]. :ud: :clown:  :drunk: I'm going bonkers, haha.

I'm currently making both a drumset and a sound effects MUX with some really fun stuff in it and thus I'm naming a lot of keys. And even though I have entered roughly 20 names already, I STILL do it...: Type a name and then hit [return]. That, of course, cancels the name giving of the note. :dog: Why?

In brief: please, Jo, if there's any chance you can do it, let [return] work as confirmation when changing a note name for the piano roll!

Before you do, why not insert 1 key name and then export it to a txt file.
Then use your preferred text editor... and after every new line : RETURN :)

Besides I'm in the wrong thread... ...weird. Should go to MuLab of course! :dog:

Good idea, though, probably, but still...c'mon! :P
Thanks for the reminder, of course! :tu:

I followed your suggestion and now it seems to work fine thanks :)

Return doesn't cancel it, it just closes the dialog, which is normal i think.
