even if used up my votes, these would open up enormous possibilities. :tu:

again, plus one million one thousand one support points. 8)

if not those, custom editable splines as transfer curves where applicable, would also be greatly helpful.

all the best...

Two votes ain't enough!

Well, of course I went for fonts & scalable options... Since I was bothering Jo about it not long ago! :hihi: It would make my use of MuLab somewhat slicker.

Second vote for clip launching. And a question for Jo: When you say "clip launching", do you mean something like Ableton live? If so I can really support that initiative! :hihi: Providing it's stable, huh? Anything along that line would be pretty cool alright.

I agree that anything that affects MuLab's flexibility would not be very cool. Consider audio recording. Some are complaining? Is there really anything wrong with it? It's up to users to learn how to use the program! Jo, if it works well you need not waste time on it.

I feel that grouping racks is quite important for organization & mixing. :D

Freezing tracks? Well MuLab has pretty robust render & export, so for me, I haven't thought about it much. But it would be convenient.

I have got to mention this: It would be nice to have sub-folders in the VST management area. So I could have a folder for Compressors, then within that, folders for different types, companies, etcetera.

But hey, MuLab is lookin' pretty good as it is. Jo deserves some beer. They got good beer in Belgium? :hihi:

Probably...

I just want a step sequencer and a piano roll like FL studio... :)

That would make me happy...... :)

Yes, something like that.

That's already in there: In the VST Manager, the right most column = Group. There you can create groups like Reverbs, EQ, Compressors, FM Synhts, Vintage Synths, or group per manufacturer if you like.

How do u compare MuLab's piano roll to FLS' piano roll?

Post

fl studio has ghost notes your able to mute notes and it has waveform helper view and your able to have different notes different colours well the list goes on

Post

Loop composer / clip launcher mode for intuitively building up patterns / live performances
Muzys (Mulab predessessor) had this, possibly even before Ableton was released, I have a short memory

Post

ableton is miles ahead of mulab they had the clip launcher long ago varikusBrainz

Time-stretch

Post

it needs every one of them every daw now adays almost had them all

So why are you still using MuLab runaudio? Curious for the essentials you like about it. Not asking this to force appreciation, but asking this in order to understand your view.

From my experience with both, FLS is a lot smoother and faster to work with. Some of those tools it has are impeccably useful.

Which are the 2 most useful tools FLS' piano roll has that MuLab's piano roll doesn't have?

I think the most important thing regarding speed is this: FL Sstudio inserts note with a single click, no modifiers necessary. Removes notes on right click. This is tremendously fast. Mulab demands double-click or ctrl-click+drag, which is slower (and after some time, tiring).

As for tools: https://www.image-line.com/support/FLHe ... noroll.htm

Lots of them. Chop and quick chop are great. Monophonic paint mode is great. Slice tool can be quite useful to arbitrarily split notes not necessarily just vertically, but diagonally as well. Stomp tool for quick entering of chords - awesome.

Obviously, FL has been around for longer, so it managed to evolve much more in that time period. But, I always feel that they got the piano roll right from the start. All other DAWs are missing something or another in comparison. The closest I managed to duplicate FL's behaviour was in Reaper, thanks to its mouse modifiers feature. Still, dealing with CCs is different in Reaper (some things are better, some are not).

Total agree with EvilDragon. Being new to Mulab the double click does my head in. Oh! on a slighty different tack, can't explain why, but the Master strip rack being on the left side just seems wrong.
